I have a special place in my heart for LePlatt’s pond! I have been blessed to have made a beautiful relationship over the years with this sweet, kind and caring family who own the ranch. I was fortunate to be their nanny to their two sweet, intelligent and polite children. I’ll never forget the many adventures we had out at that pond! Now, to a few years later down the road My husband and I just got married out there on July 14th, 2024 and not a single regret! It was beautiful, magical, fun and everything we wanted! The atmosphere is perfect for a laid-back, fun and relaxing wedding! We had so many visitors complimenting on the gorgeous, breathtaking view! My husband and I get so happy as we get to look back and remember the wonderful memories that LePlatt’s has given us, we will never forget our special day!

Also, not only is the venue beautiful, but the “loft” where the bride can get ready is relaxing, fun and comfortable for a good amount of people! My bridesmaids and I felt luxurious staying in there!

We had our wedding here at Leplatt's Pond and it was nothing short of perfection! Krii and her team are the most amazing people. They have a slice of heaven out there and they truly make you feel like royalty. The coordantor, Lacy, is so incredibly hepful and so sweet! They really made my dream become a reality. I truly love these people and feel so grateful that I was forutunate enough to get married here. I may be bias but Leplatt's Pond is the greatest place on earth to get married!

When we got engaged, we knew right away that we wanted to get married at LePlatts Pond! Not only is it the most breathtakingly beautiful location but it also holds a special place in our hearts as we both grew up locally and even spent days fishing at the pond. Krii and her staff make the experience easy and stress-free from beginning to end! We are so lucky that we got to celebrate one of the best days of our lives at the best venue in Colorado!

When we starting the wedding planning process, we decided that we wanted a destination wedding- envisioning a quaint location surrounded by the mountains. When we came across LePlatts Pond we found just that! The pond and scenery are perfect, all our guests were raving about it! To top of the beauty, Krii and Lacy are wonderful women who helped in so many ways to make the day go smoothly! We really did have the perfect day at the most perfect venue!

LePlatts was incredibly gorgeous for our early-June wedding. The ranch and pond are a beautiful back drop for any event. Their coordinators and staff executed our set-up picture perfectly and accommodated many requests. The entire process was easy and stress-free all the way through our wedding day. As the bride and groom, the Loft on property was perfectly clean with so much attention to detail. Very convenient to stay pre-wedding and the night of. As locals to the area, it was great to enjoy our wedding almost as guests! Highly recommend LePlatts for any couple looking for a venue that helps coordinate all the day of logistics, and want a simply gorgeous location.

My now husband and I decided to take a leap of faith two years ago and move to LaPlata county. We had spent a lot of time in the area through our travels and fell in love with the community. It’s a community that proudly supports local businesses and its neighbors, and welcomes the many travelers that pass through regularly.

Through a series of very serendipitous events, we found Krii and Paul...and their beautiful property - LePlatt's Pond. From the moment we toured the property, we knew that this was where we wanted to get married. Everything about it felt very much "us" and what we strive to embody - serenity, nature, community, down-to-earthness…plus an outdoor dance floor where we could show off our really bad dance moves under the stars. 🙂

Taking on the planning and coordination ourselves seemed daunting at first, but Krii and Lacy were there to answer all of our questions and offer recommendations. I cannot say enough about Lacy as a coordinator. She truly has a gift of executing a vision flawlessly. I know I threw her many curve balls throughout the process - mainly 24 hours before because I have a tendency to think I can get more done than is physically possible in a certain period of time which left a lot of things undone on my part. She was so patient with me and a constant support. I am eternally grateful! (Also, important to note, what you as a bride "don't get done,” no one else notices. ?)

The Loft (also on the property) provided a quiet space to take in many special moments whether it was the night before the wedding with my sisters relaxing and laughing together while watching a movie or getting ready the day-of the wedding. It was a peaceful space that had everything we needed, including multiple steamers which really came in handy. It’s evident that Krii put a lot of thought and time into the design to make sure every detail was taken care of for her guests.

I can say confidently that whether you’re local or looking for a destination wedding, you will be beyond fulfilled with LePlatt’s Pond as your venue. It is the perfect setting/canvas that (with the help of Krii and Lacy) allows a couple to make it uniquely their own for a day. I’m so grateful that I get to call this community “home", and I LOVE that I get to drive past LePlatt’s Pond weekly and take in all the wonderful memories from our wedding day all over again.

What a perfect day in the perfect place. We could not have imagined a more beautiful setting to start our lives together as husband and wife. Our friends and families are still raving and we can't stop looking at the pictures!

We have Krii and her family and coordinating team to thank for pulling everything off so seamlessly. We were initially hesitant about a destination wedding (attention NM brides!) but any worry we had was easily put to rest. LaPlatts isn't just a gorgeous venue - it comes with the wedding pros!

We had our wedding at LePlatt's Pond in early June 2019. Choosing LePlatt's as our venue may have been the best decision we made relating to the wedding! The location, in our opinion, is the MOST beautiful in Durango and all surrounding areas for those who prefer a green waterfront backdrop. Mary was our day-of coordinator and contact throughout the planning process, and working with her was an absolute pleasure from beginning to end! She presented as professional and attentive and took SO MUCH pressure off of us throughout the planning process. On the day of the event, we did not have to worry about a thing, as she and her husband assisting her kept everything running completely smoothly! We would highly recommend LePlatt's to anyone looking for a wedding venue in the Durango area!
