This was our third trip with Trek & Trail! We have done a six day, eight day and now a three day trip and loved them all! The Islands are so beautiful!! The owners are so kind and gracious!! They even added a birthday cake to our trip because it was someone’s birthday on the trip! We have had amazing guides each time too!! They always make you feel so well taken care of and you just really get to enjoy the beauty of the Islands and Lake Superior! If you are wanting to explore the Islands definitely check out Trek & Trail!!

We spent 3 days/2 nights on an overnight kayaking trip with Mason as our guide...and it was absolutely phenomenal! Mason did an excellent job and we felt very well taken care of. The food was amazing...not your typical backpacking food, but full blown, cooked on a stove delicious meals. York Island was beautiful, Sand Island sea caves were stunning, and the campsites were very comfortable. Highly recommend going with Trek & Trail...this was an unforgettable trip and I definitely want to go back! 3 days was not long enough!

Trek & Trail was a fantastic experience from start to finish! We could easily get in early to try on/take our wet suits, and the day-of was above and beyond all expectations. Our guides were experienced, explained things clearly and had great senses of humor. The kayaking itself was so fun and getting to explore caves/arches was one of the coolest things I’ve ever gotten to do. Book them ASAP!!

Wonderful experience!!! Nick and Sari were great instructors and guides. My husband and I have our own kayaks but have only done rivers and small lakes. Lake Superior was definitely a huge step above. We were a little nervous when we saw the waves but the sea kayaks handled them with no problems. The sea caves were so beautiful and spectacular. Was so cool getting up close. Definitely recommend the half day sea cave trip when you visit the Bayfield area!!!!

Absolutely wonderful experience!! The store itself is so cute and has great merchandise, if I had come earlier would’ve loved to peruse around. They were so friendly, offered us coffee, and were overall very helpful. The tour itself was perfect; the guides were helpful and kind, the kayaks were comfy and awesome, the views and kayaking experience was divine! We loved exploring the Apostle Islands and caves. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful kayaking experience with Trek & Trail! I had to go solo since my travel partner ended up with a rotator cuff injury. T & T teamed me up with Charlie, one of their staff, as guide. He was absolutely the best thing that could have happened to make my trip as enjoyable as it could be! We were able to kayak through many sea caves and a crevice. Staff members Alex & Charlie both ensured we got the photos we wanted & even took some of us & sent them later. They ensured we knew exactly what was expected of us before taking off & gave us proper instruction. Loved that we were all provided kayaking "skirts" to prevent water from splashing into the kayaks and waterproof bags for cameras & other personal items. All in all, a great experience. I'll be telling all my friends who plan to kayak the sea caves to go with Trek & Trail!

Our guides Stosh and Maddie were awesome! There took us to some cool caves to explore with a bonus at the end since we were ahead of schedule. They did a good job with the safety class at the beginning. Whatever time your tour starts plan on at least 45 minutes before you actually get in the water to get going. There could be all levels of kayaking experience as well which can slow you up if others are more proficient so be patient. The equipment was all in good working order. What a great experience! Crew was awesome and very informative. They made sure everyone was comfortable with kayaks & safety, explained the geology and the water & shore features. Everyone from the shop to the paddle was awesome. Don’t miss this trek when in Bayfield!
