I went on the lit up sea cave ice tour and it was really cool! The tour itself went over 3 hours and brought you to 4 sea caves. The guide was really cool, laidback, and had lots of knowledge regarding the lake and the caves. The only annoying thing was there were a few people on the group who did not appreciate the guides setting up a few extra light fixtures along the ice and wanted to rush through it- so if any thing they were a vibe kill for a little while. I found the extra light features to be very nice and I got some cool photos. Would do this again for sure!

Had a great ice caves tour out of Washburn on a beautiful February day. Had plenty of time to hike and explore caves, overhangs and ice formations, even some belly crawls! Colby was an excellent guide, working with our group, pointing out hidden gems while shepparding us to the next cove. Would definitely recommend for almost any abilities (mostly flat walking on packed snow trail, one downhill from parking lot) Four miles of hiking over three hours. Bring snacks and refreshments! Would definitely come back in summer and try Apostle Islands kayaks tours

Had a great time trekking out on Lake Superior to see some of the caves and ice formations. The guides Mike and Danny were fun and informative.

The tour couldn't have been on a better day. Our guides were friendly and knowledgeable of the area. I will definitely do it again weather permitted. Thank you I really enjoyed it.

Were able to go closer to the islands with this tour. The tour guides were very friendly and informative. They take the boat around so that both the right side and left side have an opportunity to see the caves. There is outdoor seating (upstairs) as well as indoor seating (downstairs). There is also a concession center on the boat. Its a big boat so its very stable during winds where a kayak could be dangerous. Would highly recommend touring with them.

We had a fantastic experience on our recent tour of the Ice Caves in the Chequamagon Bay. John French was our guide and he was wonderful! We had three kids with us, and he was fantastic about letting them take their time and explore - he truly seemed to enjoy seeing my kids enjoy it. I enjoyed the tour just as much as my kids. The area is so beautiful and it's fun to see it this time of year. John took a bunch of photos for us to ensure I'll have these memories. And he was full of so much information about the Apostle Islands and Lake Superior - I can tell that he loves this area. Thank you John! I'd highly him to anyone thinking of doing a tour.

What an experience! We will all remember this for the rest of our lives. We were all beginners and it was fine. Our guide was so funny and set us all at ease. Maybe ten minutes in it felt like being out with a group of friends instead of strangers. We drove up from Antigo and hotels in Bayfield are crazy expensive especially if you get a room last minute like we did so if you plan on staying in the area overnight I would book ahead of time and find a deal but the price of the actual kayak tour was very reasonable. There are lots of beautiful nature spots to check out up there too for free. Even my husband kept saying he was so glad I made him go lol If you are thinking about doing this you should definitely go for it!

While we enjoyed walking on the frozen lake and checking out brownstone overhangs that look like caves with ice in them, the tour itself fell short of expectations. The tour was less than 2 hours long (it is advertised as 3 hours) and we definitely walked less than the advertised 4 miles. While our guide Eugene seemed like a nice person, he was not much of a guide. When he did tell us some "stories", it seemed like he was tired or hungover, but most of the time he would just walk us to a location in a "here it is" manner. The $50 for this tour is a rip off. It would be worth $20 for the fact that you have a local guiding you to a place that is known to be safe on the ice.
