Hills Tribes of Thailand November 24. With flight, over 12,000.00$ wasted. I returned early. All inclusive' doesn't include more than a few choices, invariably the item you wish isn't covered. Poor tour ergonomics, guests left waiting at every juncture oft in inconvenient and dirty spots apparently for convenience of hosts. Boring guide, poor familiarity w Westerners.

We returned from the Wings Over Africa tour 2 1/2 weeks ago. While we loved experiencing Africa for the first time (some of the experiences were five stars) we were very disappointed in the services provided by Alexander + Roberts. We have traveled with many tour groups over the years and felt that the itinerary offered by Alexander + Roberts was the best choice for this particular trip. We had not traveled with A+R before but had many assurances that they were a luxury /high-end company with a great reputation. Sadly, we did not experience that level of service. Our issues both before and during the trip were many. Pre-trip issues involved significant changes to the itinerary after booking, issues with only 4 guests on a portion of the trip, flight assignments and pre-trip travel documents that were not trip specific, misleading and inaccurate. During the trip which was divided into 2 sections, each about 12 days, we did not have a tour director/guide for the first half (later discovered that 7 guests or more are required for a tour director/guide). There was an ongoing discrepancy on tipping (on-trip information did not match A+R pre-trip tipping guidelines). Lodges and local guides inclusions and itinerary did not match A+R inclusions and itinerary resulting in missing safaris, special meals, sundowners, and overcharges for park fees. "Luxury" tent camp had non-flushing toilet for 3 days (yes, it was reported), mouse/rat in lounge tent, mouse in personal tent, inexperienced safari driver, no electricity in tent which was not disclosed-no hairdryer, no curling iron, and location to the great migration was not as described. Poorly maintained vehicles by local tour group, which were contracted by A+R, led to unsafe travel conditions on 3 days in and around Arusha and the Crater. In another vehicle we were stranded on the side of the road during transport to flight home due to a brake malfunction and were placed on public transport filled with locals and merchandise in a dirty van without air conditioning for a 45 minute drive. While there were many "issues", some described above, my concern at this point is the lack of concern shown by A+R. We have been back 2 1/2 weeks. We completed the surveys with concerns during the trip and offered to provide additional information after returning. I spoke to the A+R concierge 2 weeks ago and requested the refund for the park fee charges and shared the above concerns, provided a written detailed account of the above concerns and more to our travel agent and A+R and have had zero response and have not received the park fee refund as promised. I am very disappointed in the service provided and had high hopes that A+R would be another tour company that we could use in the future. Their lack of followup is very disappointing and unexpected to say the least. At this point I feel that we did not receive the trip as described, did not receive the quality of trip paid for. and the lack of followup is unacceptable.

My husband & I booked a 10 day trip in Turkey, and it was an absolutely terrific experience. The itinerary was exactly what we wanted to see, but the magic was in their local team.

Our tour guide was a Turkey native, and knowledgeable in all aspects of the country: historically, geographically, politically, economically, as well as the major religions and religious history. He was personable and friendly, and read our small group of 12 just right - e.g. when we were tired; when we could push on.

At the end of our trip, my husband took ill with pneumonia. The luxury resort that A&R had us booked with had a nurse on staff, who examined him and summoned a local doctor who happened to be at the hotel seeing another guest. My husband was taken to the nearest hospital and admitted for what turned out to be 6 days.

Meanwhile, the local A&R team booked me into a lovely and close-by hotel, who took care of all my needs. When it was time to check out, the local A&R team got us a car & driver to take us to the airport. They even delivered some luggage I had left at the hotel in Istanbul, in anticipation of staying there one last night before going back to the U.S.

While my husband was recuperating in the Turkish hospital, the A&R operations manager in the U.S. reached out to me to make sure that we were getting everything we needed. And we were!

We are so very happy with A&R, and highly recommend them as a travel partner. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Unbelievable is the word I would use to describe our experience in Africa with Alexander & Roberts. They planned every detail with precision. Our hotels, lodges and tented camps were absolutely amazing. From the moment we stepped off the plane until they drop us off at the airport to fly home, every detail was taken care of. Everyone we met along the way contributed to this amazing journey. We were “On safari in Kenya and Tanzania”. The driver guides were so knowledgeable and friendly they made us feel like family. Africa is an unforgettable destination because of the kindness and genuine spirit of the African people. I will never forget this experience and thank Alexander & Roberts for making it happen.

I just got back from a trip to Alaska with A+R. It was fantastic! What an enriching itinerary! Mountains, culture, wildlife, sled dogs, reindeer, musk ox, and adventures – Wild and Wonderful Alaska had it all! Our tour manager guided us seamlessly from Fairbanks to Seward. She was on top of everything and took really good care of our group of 12.

My wife and I travel on their private week in Costa Rica tour. They took all the stress out of travel, every logistic need was covered, and the trip documentation was outstanding. Enjoyed all the accommodations, and meals arranged for us. Top feature though was the guide / driver who cared for us during our stay. We really enjoyed his company and deep knowledge of the country. Once he understood what we like to see, he was able to adapt on the drives to give us a more local experience. Yes there is a premium to using their service, but in my estimation it is well earned in the details.

We've traveled with Alexander & Roberts three times now and all have been incredible experiences. The trips themselves are wonderful but the most amazing part is that we never have to worry about anything, every detail is always taken care of. Once we sign up and choose our flights, we don't have to think about anything except choose which amazing activity we want to do on any particular day. The accommodations are always first class, transfers are taken care of, the activities and all guides/hosts have been remarkable and even going from country to country was seamless for us as all paperwork was anticipated. Looking forward to our next adventure with A & R!
