We had a perfect day on the water thanks to Vallecito Marina. Their staff is friendly and wants you to have a good time. The boat we rented was easy to drive. You are allowed to fish off the boat which is so much fun! Will be back to do it again!

Beautiful lake primarily used for boating and finding. Can rent various kinds of boats, from kayaks to paddle boats to fishing boats and pontoons, from the marina (if you want to rent a boat with a motor, reserve in advance). Came on a Sunday and rented a 70hp pontoon. The boat was great and enjoyed cruising around.

We had a wonderful time on Lake Vallecito with the help of the Vallecito Marina and their pontoon boat. The lady that helped us get on the water was wonderful. After small talk we realized that we grew up in Texas only about 25 miles from each other. What a coincidence. The boat puttered around the lake and we got to do some fishing and swimming. My family hopes to go back soon. It was a blast. Next time, we are going to rent a sailboat also and learn how to sail. It's the perfect lake. Not too big but enough room to zip around.

This is the second time we've rented a boat from Vallecito, and we were pleased again. This time, we reserved in advance, and found the reservation process to be straightforward (reserving the boat; reviewing the safety instruction videos; signing the waivers). The boat itself was a pleasure....good condition and comfortable. Despite the threat of thunder/lightning storm (it held off until the last 30 minutes of our 4-hr reservation), we had a good time swimming, coasting the lake and doing some limited fishing (granddaughter).

My family booked a pontoon boat for an 8 hour rental. All around, we had a fantastic experience. I had read other reviews and was prepared for a questionable experience, but i didnt have any problems at all. The boat was a newer model Bentley ( red), very well taken cared for. Of all the rentals we have used over the years, this had to be the newest and nicest. We showed up about 5 minutes late and we were helped to our boat right away. It had a full tank of gas and ready to roll. We spent a full day on the water and enjoyed the gorgeous views. We pulled in about 10 minutes prior to the end of our time, and were greeted by friendly faces. Of course, we caught no fish - wrong time of year.

The 2 ladies were so helpful So great to be able to reserve on line. The kayak we rented was perfect: stable and nice paddles. Great price point too. This experience really added depth to my Durango experience and recommend it to anyone looking for an alpine lake adventure!. Oh and by the way minimal crowds on a holiday weekend and easy 30 min drive from city

The lake is full. we rented a four person pontoon boat for me, my husband and our Chocolate Lab. The Marina and the personnel were wonderful, helpful and even gave our dog treats. Contact them and rent a boat today, you will not regret it!!!!!!!
