This was the perfect kayak tour! Our guide, Gabe, was wonderful. I booked the evening slot (~5-7:30pm). He gave detailed safety precautions prior to going out on the water and ensured comfortability. During the tour, he provided a lot of historical information about the area and answered everyone’s questions along the way. He did not rush any members of the group. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend this company!

My wife and I booked a kayak tour with our daughters and other family. The tour guides were knowledgeable and very welcoming to our group. They taught us the ins and outs of beginner kayaking and explained different things about the area on our tour.

Also gave us some recommendations on hiking spots in the area. We highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a fun experience for the family.

My daughter even lost her AirPods during the trip (I know, why would she take them in the first place) and Rustic Makwa Den was kind enough to go out of there way to mail them back to us.

From the moment we arrived at the launch spot and met Gabe, our guide, we had an amazing time. My boys and I enjoyed a three person kayak together during the evening ship wreck tour over the Fedora! Gabe was knowledgeable, courteous, and we all felt very safe out on the lake! Highly recommend this adventure!

My husband and I did a kayaking tour of the Apostle Islands yesterday with Dawson and it was wonderful! We ended up being able to do the tour with just us so Dawson took extra time to make sure we got to spend extra time in areas we really liked. He was incredibly nice, informative and chill about the entire experience! We done several excursions with tour guides in the past and we really enjoyed how laid back he was about our day, he kept us on track so we could see everything but also didn’t rush us in anyway. He had lots of tips for us as well since we had never done done sea type kayaking. It was a bit more rough on the lake than normal so I appreciated him taking the extra time to check out all the areas before we went in and making sure we felt confident about the waves and spaces. Would definitely recommend them to anyone coming to the area! 10/10

Came with a group of 6 for night kayaking tour. Last time I went kayaking in Apostles I went during the day, so wanted to try night kayaking this time. Overall the tour was amazing, and you get to see some cool cliffside houses, sunken ship, sea caves, and the other Apostle Islands. The initial set up was very chill and Gabe our tour guide was very patient explaining everything to all the participants. The experience prior to the tour is smooth and unrushed. The experience on Lake Superior at night is so amazing. The water is really calm and the weather was perfect when we went in late June. We were so blessed to see a rainbow over the lake in the night sky - which was the best moment of the trip! The other groups on the trip were super chill and friendly. There are two spots where groups can take photos for memories. If you go in groups, you can take photos of each other. Bring a waterproof case if you are not confident holding your phone in the water. Most of the life vests have zipper pockets that you can use to put your phone in. You will get minimally wet during this tour since the water is calm - the most wet you will get is from the oars as you paddle. After the kayaking, there was a campfire waiting for us, which was a nice surprise. The overall experience with this tour was wonderful, from start to finish. Fun idea - we brought glow stick necklaces and bracelets to have a little bit of fun during the kayaking. We were told it was the first time anyone thought of doing that. Would recommend this tour. Great experience, good tour guides, nice equipment, and great value fun for doing something outside the normal activity.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We had Maddy as our tour guide and she was so sweet and so knowledgeable about the area and the cliffs. Our group had the best time. Towards the end of the tour she took a moment to recognize the tribal land around us and what it meant. It was a really cool experience.

I took my boyfriend on the nighttime kayak tour for his birthday a couple days ago, and we had so much fun! Gabe was our guide and he was just an absolute delight. He was so friendly and personable and even took the time to get awesome pictures for people! This was my 3rd time going on a kayak tour with this company and every time is so great! I definitely recommend it
