Stopped in for some apps after Christmas tree lighting and Santa visit. Had the Duck Fried and crab dip. Both were better than expected but also very rich tasting. Good to share with a few people. Would return for regular fare.

Crab dip is a must. Raw oysters are great....you'll probably have to ask for the crackers ;p but they have Tabasco on the table now which is a big plus for me. Fried oyster po boy was great. Very happy they have started offering oysters again, from Indian Pass most recently. Great draft beer selection. Hope that they start offering oyster city brewing company beer again once they open back up. Always has been a treat going here. Sad to see the grilled fish tacos and grilled fish "catch of the day" entrees are no longer offered. You can only get fried fish... Every place offers fried fish. This place used to offer some of the best grilled fish in the area, and it's a tragedy they don't anymore.

The bartender/host/waiter has the memory of an elephant. Remembered a crazy concoction of a drink our friend came up with almost a year ago (some weird oyster sauce in a Martini) and represents the establishment well. Food and oysters are great and the atmosphere is perfect for either family or drinks with friends.

Our favorite place to dine in Apalach. Duck fries are a must. Sometimes we drive the hour plus just for them. Great selection of beers.

So much wasted potential! The atmosphere would have been a 5, if not for the people. If I could, I would have rated my waitress higher. She was the only person that saved the experience. This is a higher price point, which is fine if what is promised is delivered. The two young people working the front were nothing short of rude. We walked in and the one girl walked off, ignoring us. I literally watched her pick up some bussing trays and she was in our lime of sight--didn't try to speak or anything. The other person (assuming that's the hostess) was standing by her having a discussion. Both saw us and after a stare down with me, the hostess asked what we need?! To be seated maybe? So I asked if they were open (I was being sarcastic). She looked at her watch! Now, we did get seated. Now, the GOOD--their cocktails are amazing. We had the Louisa and The waitress was accommodating and kind. FOOD was awful. Terrible. Pan seared chicken was an over cooked deep fried piece of chicken. Veggies had zero seasoning. Crab cakes cooked in old grease. Bread was good. Someone needs to step up the management game.
