We stayed at a hotel when we were visiting death valley. The hotel room seemed renovated, it was clean and had all basic amenities. It also has a Denny's for dining options which opens till late. We did not play in the casino but overall there were mostly slots and a few tables. It is within reasonable distance from death valley but the road is uphill with many turns then downhill. Since Beatty is in Nevada, the gas price was surprisingly much less compared to death valley. You also get to see wild donkeys hovering around Beatty. Overall we are happy we stayed at the place.

Best hotel in town especially being that they offer dog friendly rooms and ones that are really nice. Been coming here for years being that we always travel with our border collie (on our second) and love the fact that the relatively recent remodeled rooms are modern and spacious and come complete with a fridge and microwave. Even the beds are surprisingly comfortable. If a pool is something you're wanting, there is a nice one in the center of the complex and of course, gaming, a bar, an arcade and even a very nice Denny's restaurant is located inside the casino. Eddy World, a gas station with a very large gift and candy store is located within walking distance and while there are other restaurants and saloons nearby, the walk to them is a bit longer. Of course, the main reason to stay here is that it's a great jump off point into Death Valley and to see sights such as the Rhyolite Ghost Town. The only reason why I'm not giving this place a full 5 stars is because I'm trying to keep it real, be honest and acknowledge that it's a nice motel/hotel and far from being super fancy.

The reviews for hotels in this town are out of whack. We originally had reservations at El Portal hotel, but they overbooked. We showed up at 6pm after a long day and El Portal said they had our reservation but no rooms. They sent us here. This place is so much nicer! I don’t understand how the rating is lower. They have a working pool/hot tub and newly updated rooms. What I realized is that for this town you have to ignore the “local guide” reviews, because they are mostly biased for some reason.

Please note: this hotel only puts half of its rooms available for online booking. So it may show as sold out on all the hotel booking services, but still have plenty of rooms. If it’s a busy weekend and all the area hotels are showing as sold out, just call this hotel directly. They’ll likely have rooms.

After reading other reviews, we left Death Valley and took a chance. It was a very nice, clean room. The bed was comfortable, and we slept great. The only downsize was that the bathroom was small or the toliet was too big. Either way, it was tight with the door closed.

I recently visited your establishment on the evening of January 22, 2025, around 11:30 PM. While I was impressed with the quiet atmosphere and the convenience of 24-hour food service, I wanted to share some feedback about my experience at the bar.

Unfortunately, the bartender on duty, “Tony”, seemed inattentive, spending more time socializing with regulars and away from the bar than assisting customers. It took 18 minutes before I even realized someone was working behind the bar, which was frustrating and disappointing. Once he made himself known he was rude and unprofessional. As someone who represents a company operating several semi-trucks on this route, I had considered your establishment a potential stop for our team.

I’ve already worked out an arrangement with the Motel 6 across the street, so your business is in a great position to benefit from consistent visits from my team. I hope this concern can be addressed, as I look forward to giving your business another chance in the coming weeks.

Solid stay as others have also described. Decently clean. If not there's plenty of soap bars and toiletries. The system set me up for day of. I found out 3 days later at check in. The attendant quickly found me a room and was helpful.

First of all, location is very convenient for Furnace Creek visitor center and sand dunes, roughly 35 minutes. Right on the road. There is a gas station next to it and Denny’s restaurant is a part of the property offering American comfort food. The room had a odd smell although it was a non smoking room. Took a while to vent out the air after switching the AC on. Room size is good although the walls are a little thin and could hear people talking out loud in other room.

Excellent value: clean, big room, medium sized fridge, reasonable price. Front desk lady was friendly and calm considering there were 5 people waiting behind me because the El Portal had overbooked so lots of people’s plans were messed up.
