Positive: Great price, great location, comfortable. Also a good place for animal lovers. The office had two friendly cats, and there were friendly, free-roaming donkeys in the area. Negative: Shower water wasn't very warm. This was a small price to pay for how fun my vacation was.

We had a really lovely stay. The room was heating well, felt very cosy with clean beds. Soaps are all ready, towels as well. It is like living in a movie, typical vintage motel. Old but not that old. Fridge, microwave and TV works very well. Very charming place.

We had a problem w/ hot water, but the owner was so fast to response. Thank you so much for your attentiveness!

10/10 recommended. I would come back if I visit Death Valley again (which I will), for sure.

Wild burros roam free around town, so you might get some cute visitors. Clean maintained rooms. It's not fancy, but it's a nice stop before hitting Death Valley. Across from the Beatty Meuseum, which unfortunately I didn't get a chance to see. Rooms have TV, microwave, and fridge

Comfortable bed, very clean room & bathroom, great Wi-Fi, quiet. A/C & heat worked fine. Friendly staff. Loved seeing the wild donkeys up the street during the day. Good location; we were there for the arts festival in Rhyolite. Highly recommend!

Recommend this motel for budget travelers who do not mind some driving time. While this is about 10 minutes from the sign of Death Valley National Park, in reality expect about an hour of drive to the core of the park due to winding and steep roads. The room was spacious and clean. This establishment belongs to the motor court-style lodging in the US 66 era where you park in front of your room. Our arrival fell on a holiday but the owner was very thoughtful for arranging a flexible, seamless check-in. Light pollution is almost non-existent in the small town of Beatty. Sparkling stars were clearly seen lighting the dark sky (they were a lot more gorgeous than what the photo taken by my phone depicts). Within driving distance is the once-thriving mining town of Rhyolite, the most accessible (paved but not well-maintained, but any car can tackle) ghost town in America. Points of interest include a train depot which later repurposed into a casino, a bank and a school building.

Plain rooms but comfortable and very clean. Bed was comfortable. Everything worked (microwave, fridge, lights, plumbing.) Nice and quiet. Loved seeing the donkeys up the street.
