We just picked up our new 3 passenger San Juan Vans Sprinter Van. There are two things to consider about buying a big ticket custom build like a conversion van. First, the product must be first rate. Second the trust and buying process is critically important. Taylor and Curt delivered on both fronts. The detail of design and execution is beyond reproach, simple modular options. They use the best of the best for components. And their production process includes all the right equipment to consistently build out cabinets and various other custom built items. Their electronics installation and wiring is impeccable—the most high powered and high technology build out available anywhere. The options for aesthetics worked out perfectly for us, for which my wife was deeply engaged. Finally, the van pick up and checkout was well done and enjoyable. The SJV team delivers an extremely high level of engagement required for a successful small company. The buying process was enjoyable, which isn’t always the case for custom products. Their Mercedes Sprinter van build out is one of the best available in the country. Well documented. Highly recommended.

We are located in Palm Springs, CA and began researching builders before we even had a van, looking for the sweet spot leveraging tech knowledgeable craftsmanship and cost. So happy we stumbled upon San Juan Vans, a personal conference call with the owner shortly after acquiring a van quickly left us feeling confident they were the right fit for us. Taylor packaged a build which accommodated our needs, and skillfully guided us towards enhancing our understanding of components and options so we could avoid investing in upgrades we probably wouldn’t need. The aesthetics were the icing on the cake, we were able to coordinate finishes exactly as we had envisioned using his previous builds as a platform. The trip to drop off and pickup the van was easy, and the distance between us was overcome with periodic calls to answer questions, and plenty of pics to keep us apprised of status. There is honestly nothing we would do differently if we had to do it again, aside from maybe leap in sooner! It was a joy to meet Taylor and his crew, we are forever thankful for the dream van they built for us.

Animas Surgical Hospital

Animas Surgical Hospital approached Taylor from San Juan Vans several months ago to outfit a Mercedes Sprinter van into a mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinic. From the very beginning, the team showed exceptional customer service and top-notch attention to detail.

We needed the ability to get cold-storage vaccines to remote locations, and San Juan Vans stepped up to the challenge. They outfitted the van with a full off-grid power system with 410 watts of roof-mounted solar to power refrigerators for transporting vaccines and other medical supplies, a Fiamma awning for shade during hot southwest Colorado days, rear swivel captain chairs, custom bench seating, and custom-built powder-coated aluminum locking cabinets.

We couldn't be happier with the final product, and we can't wait to get the van out into the community.

We had San Juan Vans build out our 2021 Sprinter cargo van, and we are so pleased we chose this company. Not only is the crew super-helpful with any questions about the technical side of the infrastructure they install or craft, but they have clear expertise in this relatively new industry, and find excellent equipment at a reasonable cost. They are incredibly conscientious about their work and a lot of care went into the project. It's plainly evident in the high-quality results. From ceiling to floor, front to back, everything is top-notch and the attention to detail is most impressive, right down to matching up the grain on the wood of the cabinets. The galley, with its fridge and induction stove, is arranged neatly above and below that exquisite woodwork, the bed is comfortable and cozy, with the side flares for extra room giving the exterior a really cool look, and the lighting is perfectly placed for effective use, with the magnetic window covers great at retaining heat and for maintaining privacy. We had them add an extra seat that turns into a single bed for our 13-year-old daughter. Their design makes of the most of the space, everything arranged in a workable and convenient manner. The control panels are easily accessible and unobtrusive, as are the entire electrical and heating systems. We have a solar panel and a lithium battery, the heat unit provides hot water as well as forced air, and those utilities are the best available products, vetted by Taylor and Curt. Our Sprinter, already a good-looking rig on the road, looks even better and brighter now that the interior living space has been added. We live in Durango, Colorado, near their shop, so I was able to visit on occasion and watch the whole process unfold. Thanks, guys. You really did a fine, fine job. San Juan Vans is at the vanguard of van conversion!
