I have never left a bad review, but I have to warn anyone looking to stay at this Motel 6. I have stayed at a few in other towns, but this is the 1st time at this one. We only stayed here because they allowed our dog. The room wasn't too bad, although there was puke all over the side of the toilet and hair in the shower. My biggest issue is with the clerk working the desk when we checked out. We requested a late check out to 11:30 vs 11:00 regular check out so we could go to breakfast down the street and not have to leave our dog in the car. The restaurant was very busy, so we got back at noon. Our keys didn't work, so we went to the front desk where we were told because it was after the 11:30 agreed on check out, we were being charged another night's stay. Not a late checkout fee, another full night's stay! After checking our credit card bill, we were charged a $30 late checkout fee PLUS another night's stay. We went back to the front desk and asked why the 2 charges and we were told we couldn't even stay another night, even though we were charged for it! I have never been treated so rudely and certainly have never been charged an additional night for 30 minutes! I understand the $30 late check out, but the extra $117 is pure fraud. I am writing to the attorney general and the better Business bureau to report this fraudulent charge.

The staff are friendly, kind and always moving. The office staff are always kind and respectful. The prices for the area and the proximity to town is a good deal!!
They have nightly rates and long term rates that are comparable to or better then other properties! Thank you for you hospitality!!!

Front desk was super easy. Friendly and helpful. Tough finding places willing to accommodate my two dogs. Can't beat the price. Doesn't matter where you go always something to knit pick. So here's mine thought window was dirty so I grabbed Windex and towel and started wiping.to my amazement it's the glass and my rag was clean. Also I am in a smoking room. This place made my day. Thanks

It’s a Motel 6. The best you’ll ever get is a 3 out of 5. Rooms were clean-ish. Service was helpful. Neighbors are loud at all hours. The only reason we were here is because we were traveling with pets

It’s not fair to start a review by comparing properties, but I had a near nightmarish experience the night before at a different Motel 6, so this experience was a thousand times better in comparison. So with that being said, let’s review what this property offered.
Upon arriving, I was in awe of how it sat on the hill amongst the beautiful changing leaves. Once I entered the office, the manager was very professional and very quickly checked me in. When I walked to my room, I initially was not thrilled that I was on the highest side, but the views were awe-inspiring. Once I entered the room, I was impressed by the upgrades in the decor and the overall quality for a budget motel. Throughout the property, there were a lot of signs about rules, but that kept everything in order. I did hear some highway noises, but it wasn’t too disruptive. Overall, this is a good choice for a quick trip in the area.

The motel is great and has amazing customer service. We had an issue with the room we were originally staying in, but the manager Alicia fixed it immediately. We needed a room with a fridge and microwave and when we said something to her about this she switched us no problem. The experience was 10/10 over all. I will definitely be coming back soon.

I would highly recommend motel 6 south to anyone looking for a place to stay. Plenty of parking, laundry on site, fridge and microwave (if requested), hot water, AC/heat and cable. Rooms are always cleaned upon arrival.
Staff is friendly and check in/out process are always a breeze. There is plenty of restaurants, shopping and things to do near by and the location is conveniently right off the highway. One suggestion I would have to the property is if they had one of those wheeling carts to help bring personal items to and from the car especially if you’re not located on the first floor. Other than that no complaints! 🙂
