I’ve read the negative comments, and they are easily summed up by the following. If your idea of ordering coffee includes “skim milk, double pump, cold foam”, this is probably not your cup of tea.

The only thing that could make this place better, is fully reopening the restaurant. Miss those days.

Not getting anything exciting or thrilling but what you do get is peace and quiet. Beautiful natural surroundings, stars are out at night, and gorgeous sunrises over the water. Fishing charter has some great captains that will take you right to the fish and guarantee you a good time if nothing else.

I didnt stay here. We left on the boat from here. All the people that work here are very nice and helpful. I enjoyed chatting with the folks about our day on the water and hearing what all they had to say. Definitely a welcoming place!

This is a true hidden gem. The service was fantastic and we loved it. It is not for boogie folks so keep driving. This is a fishing camp type atmosphere with folks ready to fish and staying to fish that just needs clean sleeping accommodations and a hot shower. We loved sitting outside chatting with other fishermen and sipping a cold beer. The place is very clean and has a store with drinks, ice and snacks as well as fishing gear. It has a restaurant that is open for breakfast only. Service was fantastic... We plan to go back in October!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 days and it was such a nice experience. The staff couldn’t be more friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin and it was so cute. Very quiet and relaxing. The housekeeping staff was amazing as well. Beautiful dock and grounds to explore. 10/10 would recommend.

Picked up a boat for a Customer, and was treated very good. Never stayed there, but I think it would be nice .

When we arrived, there was no one to check us in. A fellow guest told us there were no room keys, so just find your room number outside the office and take valuables when you leave the room because there are no keys to lock the door. This is a rustic resort nestled in the woods so one would expect to find critters and insects outside. There were large grasshoppers everywhere, no big deal. However upon entering the room there was a nice large grasshopper sitting as Sentinel on the couch dead. In the kitchen there was a nice large grasshopper sitting on the floor dead. Mind you, these were LARGE grasshoppers, as large as my hand. There was quite a lot of dirt around the toilet in the bathroom, so housekeeping only swept/mopped the common area in the bathroom and makes you question where else they cheated. There were plenty of towels for our visit, if were able to take a hot shower as there was no hot water. I do not often complain, but this was really bad. I was expecting rustic, but not filthy. We slept on top of the covers of the bed and left the next morning. Disappointed as this place was featured on a fishing channel that we enjoy and we expected a bit more for the price we paid.

Recently stayed in the lazy q day. Very friendly staff and the environment was awesome. Although for what the cost is to stay there , there are lots of maintenance that should be addressed . The dish washer was taped up , the cob webs were every where dead roaches all over the floor . No key I didn’t won’t to leave with no way to lock your belongs up just crazy at 875.00 for the weekend . Despite the problems with the house we made the best of it.
