Very nice lodge with a rustic feel. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Hiked to the top of Mt. Washington, and this place served as an excellent base camp. The library is really cozy and has tons of interesting items to read/research. Breakfast was also a great benefit and the blueberry muffins are fantastic.

We were virtually the only guests on a snowy night - made for a perfect cozy evening! Beautiful spot to stay and made for an easy setting out point to hit XC ski trails the next day. Great breakfast as well.

Though the food was mostly delicious there were a few dishes that were not good at all such as the overcooked dry corn on the cob. The facilities are very well kept but they could invest in some showers that don't share the hot water and pressure between the women's and men's bathrooms.

Very happy with our experience. We have stayed here three times now and it is always clean and comfortable. Good hot water in the showers. Wi-Fi is spotty so be aware if you need it for maps. I’ve always been very happy with the food at the visitor center

This is a bare-bones lodge at a key trailhead to hike or climb Mount Washington. Rooms are shared with single beds and little fanfare. A restaurant in an adjacent building will get you the protein you need before your adventure begins. Weather updates are provided and guests are encouraged to take them seriously. Many people have died in this area so please take warnings seriously. Overall, I highly recommend this lodge as it gets you in the right mood.

A perfect stay before our 9-hour hike and 12 miles. Very clean and everyone was kind and knowledgeable. The dinner was amazing. 3 courses and they provided vegan and gluten-free options. It was very quiet the Friday before Memorial Day weekend. Bonus, free level 2 charging. They have two outlets that use J1772.

2.17.23-2.20.23 This was my 1st time here, and I was told to expect simple lodging with incredible hiking opportunities. So with regards to reviewing the lodge, the parking lots fill up quickly with people coming to hike, so those of us paying to stay overnight couldn't find parking. It was very frustrating, and this could be an easy fix by assigning residents a spot...our room was simple but very clean, and it had clean sheets, towels, and extra blankets. The common areas were also clean and very comfy. There was self-serve tea and coffee. Breakfast and dinner were served in the adjacent building. Friday night, we had a wonderful dinner with plenty of fish, veggies, and pasta. The other nights, however, they ran out of food. One night, they ran out of meatballs, and there wasn't much else to eat. not much of anything. At dinner, they checked our names to see if we paid, but at breakfast, they didn't. I'm not sure why not. The location is perfect for skiers, hikers, and snowboarders as you're close to the trails. It's also within a 40-minute car drive of 2 breweries, vineyards, and outlets. We saw many kids, teens, and older folks. So basically, good for all. The lodge has a library with books, maps of the trails, etc.
