I cannot express the gratitude I feel for this hospitality house. Having a loved one in the hospital for month already, it's a calm space to decompress and have a bed to come back to after a long day at the hospital.
Thanks to the amazing staff and volunteers, as well. They are a nonprofit, so please donate - items, time, money... The guests thank you!

The Altrusa House has been a God's send. Our mom has been in the hospital for over a month. There is no way that we could have afforded to stay in hotels and/or drive back and forth. The staff here are caring and helpful. They even sent mom a beautiful lap blanket. One night a week volunteers provide a meal for guests. Each room has space in the refrigerator. We can cook and do our laundry right on site so that as well saved us money. The other guests are all dealing with similar situations, so there are people to talk with. The rooms are nice-ours has a private bath with a handicap shower (which we needed). There is a gathering/tv area on both floors. It is close to two of the main hospitals. Thank you-you provide such an important service!

Amazing!!! My husband was able to get his procedure done at St. Vincent. We drove 4hrs from home and this place provided us a comfortable place to stay and a warm meal for my family. My two daughters and I thank the generosity of Altrusa Home and the staff for the friendly hospitality

What this place does for people is absolutely incredible they have been great with helping us with my mother. The staff is also very kind this is one of the best places I've seen they just really wanna help. It makes you feel safer in an unfamiliar place and more financially stable for long stays. Highly recommend!

These people are awesome! Restores your faith in humanity to think of all the generosity, the monetary donations and the volunteers who all work together to make this possible for people that they don't even know. While my mom was hospitalized Altrusa provided me place to call home. Thank you.

I stayed here when my former boyfriend's mother had a heart attack. They were friendly, kind and willing to help out with anything. I am so happy that a place like this exists for the people who can not afford a hotel room for a week.

Mary Pat is awesome and very helpful and so are the others that work here. Alway loving and caring. It’s home away from home. Very clean and comfortable. Like it we can cook our own food. May God bless this place.
