I loved my stay here! The cabin had everything I could need during my time there. It was so fun to seeing and feeding the pond puppies (huge fish!!!) The whole cabin was very clean, comfortable beds! I cant wait to come back.

We discovered Eagle's Nest two years ago and wrote a glowing much-deserved review of our wonderful time there. This summer we returned and spent 7 super enjoyable days and nights there. Once again, Connie and Doug were the perfect hosts and Aerie cabin was our cozy and relaxing home. As before, we enjoyed the local stores and restaurants and the friendly, small community atmosphere that makes Vallecito such a warm and welcoming place. An evening concert under the stars by a friend (and fellow cabin renter) was truly the "frosting on the cake." Connie and Doug have created the perfect vacation spot for relaxation and exploration of the San Juan Mountains. It was hard to leave - and we hope to return soon! It would be a great place for a family gathering...

First time staying here when we came at the end of June. We've been to Vallecito before but I was so excited when we arrived at the Eagle's Nest Cabins. Beautiful property, gorgeous cabin (Talon), quiet area, and the friendliest hosts ever!! Doug and Connie were so welcoming, informative, and just overall great people. We would go back in a heartbeat (once a month if we could!!) and stay here every time. Since it is pet friendly also, might have to bring our dog(s) next time. Super duper place. Can't say enough about this treasure@@

Nice people, and in our opinion the best location for cabins. We spent 3 nights here and there is road noise, which I'm very sensitive towards, but the other sites would be much louder. We stayed in the studio, sparrows nest and it was perfect. Also dog friendly. It is roomy enough. The bed is comfy and I'm hard to please. A few more pillows for choice would be nice.veey nice stay. Thanks.

When our family was thinking how best to celebrate my husband's and my 50 anniversary it was unanimous to return to||Vallecito Lake to reclaim wonderful childhood memories. My parents had lived there for many years and we spent many vacations and reunions there. Doug and Connie graciously provided us with two cabins that faced each other. The properties were beautiful and perfect for our family's needs. The 5 year old, the teenagers, the adults, all found plenty to do with walking, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, boating, feeding the fish in the pond and ending each day with a camp fire. Everyone was relaxed and renewed with new family memories. We are so grateful to Doug and Connie for their attention to every detail that made our celebration just perfect.

Doug and Connie are the best! After 2yrs of planning a family reunion our family went to Eagle's Nest. What a delight. We had 22 people, 7 were 5 and under, and one teenager. Our time was over the 4th of July and the fireworks at the lake were fabulous actually the best all of us have ever seen. The cabins were so clean, updated bathrooms and comfortable. All the cooking utensils any one would want. We did our own cooking and all ate together, played out on the grass area, kids had fun in sand box and grass and feeding the fish! Our cabins were Talon, Hackle and Aerie. The hospitality of Doug and Connie is heartwarming. We would all go back year after year if we could.

We had a wonderful time at this lovely, clean and charming cabin. This place couldn't be more welcoming. Our hosts Doug and Connie were a pleasure to meet and made our stay very enjoyable. We highly recommend Eagles Nest Cabins! Pssst... don't forget to feed the fish.

These cabins and homes are by far above any of the others in the area. We've been going to the lake for the past 4 yrs during Labor Day. I've viewed & stayed @ quit a few in that time. Eagle's Nest is the nicest, friendliest, most well maintained, and accommodating. You will not be sorry for this choice. It's kinda' weird that this quality is the same price range as the others. But it's very refreshing. Thank you.
