Just back from a birthday celebration at The Porch and we couldn’t be more impressed. Our server *Alex* absolutely dazzled us with her charm, hospitality, attentive service, and excellent recommendations!

Calamari, salads, snapper, and blackened shrimp on grits were delicious, and clearly everything is prepared from scratch with fresh ingredients. Great wine selection, and the desserts were amazing! Cheesecake (light and wonderful) and chocolate mousse (chocoholic’s delight!) were the perfect ending. Classic Anna Maria Island atmosphere in a restored antique home. (-:

Came here after searching for a nice date night away from the kids with the wife. There’s a reason this place has the highest Google review rating. The food was top notch. By far the best meal we have had on the island thus far. Marvin was our server and was also the bartender on duty. He gave some fantastic recommendations and we definitely enjoyed everything we had at The Porch. Marvin was also the friendliest waiter/bartender I think we have ever experienced. Do not sleep on this place. Just go grab a table now at the Porch.

We had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The catch of the day, served in a perfectly balanced lemon butter sauce, was fresh and flavorful. The fish chowder was hearty and comforting, with just the right amount of seasoning. The beef with gravy was tender and rich, a great choice for anyone craving something savory and satisfying.

The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming.

Several options for kids.

Overall, it’s a great spot for a delicious, well-prepared meal. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Wow!! What an incredible find. Total accident happening upon this little gem tonight for a birthday celebration. From the hostess, bartender, chef and server - just amazing. The food was spectacular and came out quickly. The ambience was my favorite. Cozy and quaint and SO inviting. We will be back!!

We decided to try The Porch while having a little staycation on the island and it was wonderful. We loved it so much, we came back the next day! The grouper chowder was delicious. The service was amazing both times. Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for a restaurant with charm, warmth, and a touch of island elegance, The Porch on Anna Maria Island is an absolute gem. From the moment you step in, the ambiance is inviting, cozy yet refined, with a “super cute” aesthetic that perfectly complements the island vibe. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this place is one of those spots that makes you want to linger a little longer and soak it all in.

Now, let’s talk about the food—because wow. I had the Steak Oscar, and let me tell you, it was the best a gal could ask for. Perfectly cooked, tender, and topped with just the right amount of decadent crab and hollandaise, every bite was a dream. It’s the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-conversation just to appreciate how good it is. The rest of the menu looked equally enticing, but once I saw that Steak Oscar, there was no turning back.

Service was friendly and attentive, though our server had a tendency to share quite a bit about her personal life. While I appreciate good conversation, it sometimes bordered on oversharing-but hey, it added to the experience in its own way!

One downside? No liquor menu. They offer beer, wine, and wine-based cocktails, which is a bit of a letdown if you’re hoping for a proper cocktail or spirit. It’s not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind.

Unfortunately, I don’t have more photos because I was hosting guests, but trust me when I say the presentation and atmosphere are worth seeing for yourself. If you’re in the area, The Porch is absolutely worth a visit just come hungry and maybe bring your own conversation starters in case your server beats you to it!

Our recent dinner was simply delightful! The food was outstanding, and our server was incredibly attentive. We couldn't resist trying the hibiscus tea, fresh catch, salmon, and cheesecake. Everything was absolutely delicious, but the salmon and cheesecake (!!!) were particularly memorable. We'd give the entire experience a solid five stars!

SO GRATEFUL they were able to repair and open again (and that the restaurant is still there after Hurricanes Helene and Milton). Took a ton of work I'm sure, they are all just happy to have a place to go to in spite of some losing their homes (including the owners). First time for us, but after getting the opportunity to meet and chat with many of the staff, hear the owner's story of how they moved from Canada to open this 3 years ago (husband/wife team), and almost losing everything, we fell in love with the atmosphere, then the people, then the FOOD experience. Highly promoting, loved the fish tacos, but more importantly, the attention to detail on flavor and presentation. Awesome all around. Going back whenever in town.
