REAL DEAL. I was in the NVFS program for 24 months and they made sure I had a smooth transition to my voucher program. I feel really lucky that they took me under their wing and everything is moving forward.. again, still work on my end but I’m happy that they held my hand each step of the way!

Pulling up to this place, it appears clean and organized. But once you go inside, those who really need help won't get it here, they turned away a friend who really needed help. Very upsetting that one needs to know how to play their game to get help, you don't qualify because you really need it and qualify for it. Who knows how these people get in... bc clearly one of the ladies staying there had money for cigarettes... Very disappointed.

This review is 100% for the program director. I’ve been donating clothes here for the past 2 months being intentional about what I donate. Today I tried to drop off a bag of winter clothes: sweaters, hoodies, sweatpants, some new winter clothes as well.

It’s cold outside and people need, she just told me they aren’t accepting donations since Covid, but I just came a few weeks ago and they were so grateful for my donations and said they needed. So I’ve been putting bags together just for the community.

The program director doesn’t need to be in her position, she’s taking away from the community that needs.

She claims it’s because of Covid, but yet she was sitting there with no mask on, on her phone. I told her she was doing a disservice to the community and that she was taking away from the community. She said I know I’m sorry until I get approval we can’t accept donations.

How does her statement make any sense, clothes can be washed

I didn’t get her name but she identified herself as the program director. She’s a slender white woman with blonde hair.

I volunteered at the SERVE Campus today for the first time. I was very impressed on how everyone works so very hard to get things done. I was proud to be part of this well-oiled machine today. Thanks Betty for the guidance!

I love what this place is about.....serving the people and the families.
However, i am disappointed in the rejection of clothing and products they are accepting.
I take pride in my donations but i am sure not everyone does. Yes, my donations have been previously worn and not new with tags on them but they are clean, folded, packed neatly and with respect for the staff and individuals that need to display them.
It would be helpful if NVFS published why they are rejecting items.
What NVFS rejects I just provide to another donation center.

It’s a really good program to help you get back on your feet, if you have kid’s and nowhere to go this is the place to come. If you don’t have any kid’s, they are still willing to help and assist you!

Entered with my FAMILY after a drawn out traumatic experience at the hands of Slumloards. Lost everything we've worked for 80,000 plus in damages. Given false sense of security and even used our heart wrenching story to receive large Donations from the community and were never used for the families people are scammed into believing they are for. Staff is not trained to handle the trauma many families are experiencing. There are those EXTRAORDINARY FEW that work from the heart. Sad cycle with not much hope. We left in worst shape then we arrived.
