If I see the name Vacasa on any property I will refuse to book.

My husband’s brother passed away, then a few weeks later his mother passed. We booked a large home for our family to stay at while we were in from Tampa, Florida for the memorial service.
-I made the mistake of not buying travel insurance one time knowing there would be no chance of us missing the funeral of two huge parts of our family.
-Then life happened and Tampa received two direct hits from hurricane Helene and Milton which has impacted millions of people, including our entire family. We were still doing everything we could to be there, but the airport closed and our flights were cancelled. We tried contacting them with no response, then contacted VRBO, which did communicate with them, to which the reply was they should have cancelled 30-days out because that is our policy. I promise if I knew 30-days ago we’d lose two family members, experience two record breaking hurricanes and be stuck in my house because our streets are under several feet of water, our fence is blown in, screens messed up, roof shingles down the road, no electricity and under a no flush ordinance, We would have made alternative plans.
-We would have been happy if they said they’d transfer our weekend and let us reschedule for an offseason rental, we still visit our family regularly and could have picked a time when the home was not being rented. They would have still received payment and we would have still received services.
- If you see the name VACASA do not book through them, they have no compassion.

Never book through these guys. We rented a house in Gilford paid over $700 for a cleaning fee and my daughters found a full bag of weed from the previous renters in the couch. We complained and all we got was sorry for the inconvenience. Not to mention the shower in the master would back up and the AC would never let you go down past 74 degrees. All things we complained about and they never responded. Do not use this company!!! Go with a local agency.

The review would have been descent, despite us needing to shovel a pathway to the door and fire pit to enjoy the property. The cleaning ladies they used are dishonest and stole a 10 year olds Christmas presents, which truly hurt a little girl that has seen so much pain the past 3 months before the stay. She did not get much at Christmas due to her brother, my son passing but the purse, money, lip glosses and gift cards inside worth around $200.00 or more were definitely taken by them, sadly. The Dave and Busters gift card and Cold Stone creamery can not even be used there, but I guess the dishonest cleaning staff had to pretend it was not left by the bunk bed upstairs so they could keep the cash. If you see a Pokémon purse please believe that it could be stolen from a little girl and family that just lost a son and brother. Down here in Texas my husband and I have returned several cell phones, 4 wallets and 1 purse to the owners over the past 7 years. All had money in them! All were left somewhere and they did not know until we found them and returned them. I could not imagine stealing from from a child or anyone! I would definitely fire the staff that cleaned the house after we left! Surely you can find honest people!

Add was misleading cancellation policy was very stricked. Bed linens were clean. But dishes and rest of house was not. Trash was already half full on our arrival. Ramp to get in water was not good and loaded with rocks

Called to book a property that required owner approval for pets. The stay was only 3 weeks away, so time was of the essence. In following the guidelines as listed, we made the request at 3:30 on Monday. The agent hadn't called us back after an hour so we called again and she said that the owner had to check with her husband and would get back to us that evening or the next morning. No call that evening and still no call by 11am the next morning. Therefore, we called again and the agent we were dealing with stepped away from her desk. The new agent said that the property in question had just booked for the week we wanted. This company opens at 8:30am and the agent had plenty of time to accommodate our request. Additionally, she said she would have the original agent give us a call to follow up on what happened....still no call, hours later! Their customer service is very poor they and/or the property owners don't have an appreciation for potential business or guest satisfaction. Therefore, the property was booked out from under us. Bad business! Needless to say, we will no longer seek business with this company.
Fortunately for us, we had a great experience with a company called Natural Retreats and found an excellent property and excellent customer service!
Be sure to check their rentals and steer clear of Bayside! If communication to give them your business is this bad, imagine how they will handle serving you during your stay.

The team at Bayside was very familiar with the homes that they rent and helped us find just the right match. We have three generations that like to vacation together. They found us a home with bedrooms on three floors and a great layout that allowed us to all be together when we wanted to, but also enough room for privacy as well. The luxury home came with linens and towels. A member of the Bayside Team checked on the home during the first day to make sure we had everything we needed. The Friday to Friday rental was a great option for us as it gave us an entire weekend in the house for our weekly rental. There was a trick to getting the side door to unlock that we struggled with and a member of their property care team came right over and showed us how to get it to open, no issue after that. They have the homeowners write a letter to the renters about the home and there is a binder with all sorts of information about where things are kept in the house, how to work the TV, dishwasher etc. We liked the fact that Bayside has an office right in Meredith, NH and an emergency phone number in case we needed help when the office was closed.

I had a gas leak in the house. I had to leave the place until someone showed up to fix it. I literally paid for groceries that I couldn't cook. I had to find local restaurants. I had to leave the house for a couple of hours until they fixed the gas leak. I asked for some kind compensation since I couldn't relax in the house and I had to spend extra money eating out. They refused to even talk about out. I will never rent anything with Vacasa. Worst customer service and my family and I were endangered with a gas leak that they could fix before they rent us the house

We rented two houses for two weeks. The second night a monsoon hit the main property with torrential rain that washed out the driveway. We literally were unable to drive up to the house. We called Bayside and they had landscapers there immediately to correct the problem. Later in the week the key to the second house broke off in the door. Called Bayside and they sent out a locksmith the same day. They were great! Thank you.
