My husband and I used to love coming to Bay Point for winter and fall weekend getaways for the past few years. After our experience in December for our anniversary weekend, never again. We checked in to a room that had a poop in the toilet and stains on the window seat pillows. The rest of the room seemed like it was cleaned, so I imagine a cleaner forgot to flush after doing their business and because it's relatively dated, they hadn't gotten around to changing the pillows. When I called the front desk to let them know what we found, they offered us a bottle of wine and asked if they could send a cleaner. We don't drink, so I asked what else they could do for us (expecting to offer to change our rooms, maybe take a % off). I was told there was nothing else that could be done. It was late, we were tired from traveling, so we went to eat and then to bed. The next day, their automated text came in asking about our stay. I replied back about the poop in the toilet and concerns nothing was done to remediate this. I was told to call the front desk. Again, told nothing could be done. After our stay, I completed a survey expecting SOMEONE in management might see, in writing, that we came to a dirty hotel room and reach out. It's been almost 2 months and we haven't heard a thing. We will not return to this hotel. It's really too bad, because the location is great but the service over the last year has really gone downhill. Very disappointing. Go up the street another 10 minutes to the next town -- their waterfront hotel is cleaner and service was much better.

Maybe the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel.
It started with sitting through route 25 traffic, getting to the hotel and finding out that check in is actually in a different hotel a half mile away. So 20 minutes of traffic later, we get to an incompetent and understaffed check-in desk who had never even seen the place we were staying in, so couldn’t answer any questions about it.
The room was full of ugly mis-matched uncomfortable furniture. The ‘fireplace’ produced no heat, and was controlled by an unmarked switch hidden behind the TV.
There’s no room service, just a restaurant with take -out on the first floor, and no alcoholic drinks allowed to be brought back to the room.
The jets in the spa tub were full of mold.
The water tasted funky
The coffee machine was stocked with 4 pods, all decaf
The bathroom had soap, but no shampoo
the balcony had a nice view, but looked like it hadn’t been cleaned all season.
the traffic on 3 and 25 didn’t quiet down until after 11pm

I just arrived in Meredith, New Hampshire about an hour and a half ago and checked in to my room at Bay Point. It is part of a complex of hotels located on different sites in this beautiful little town on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. Check-in is at the Mill Falls location about two blocks away from Bay Point. The process was easy and efficient, as it should be, and the front desk person was very kind and courteous. It’s a bit confusing when you arrive at Bay Point in that there is no obvious lobby entry nor is there anyone at a desk in this building. My room is located on the second floor and I found it quite easily. The problem arose when my key didn’t work. I tried at least a dozen times before I resorted to calling the front desk back at the Mill Falls location. I was initially told to go across the street to their other building, since it was closer but would involve walking across the busy Main Street into town from Highway three. My other alternative would have been to drive back. They finally agreed to send somebody over rather than have me schlep my luggage back to my car. after hanging up, I tried another half dozen times and bingo! It worked. So I called them back and told them they need not send somebody over. Upon entry to the room which faces directly onto Lake Winnipesaukee, first impressions were lovely. However, before poster bed has tenuous posters. And stepping outside onto the small balcony, which could be a lovely place to sit, especially since the weather is so nice, I found it loaded with spiderwebs and spider eggs. A wasp was having a hay day chowing down, too. there’s also mold and the windows haven’t been clean for a while. I’ve only been here a little over an hour and have not had a chance to explore the other properties yet. But my initial impression is that things are sliding. And not in a good way. more to follow after my two nights stay.

We really loved our overnight stay at Bay Point. The room was beautiful and comfortable, but the best part was the balcony and its stunning view! The other best part was dinner outside there at Lago, always a favorite with that stunning view. Beautiful spot.. I even enjoyed a morning kayak ride, even good for a senior. 😊|I will definitely go back.

I have to agree with Glenn B's review. WHERE WAS EVERYONE? Although we did arrive during the sweet spot to be checked in by a real person, I did not see another real person working here during our 48 hour stay. ||The room and view were nice but at ~ $450 / night, grossly overpriced for a modest inn not in a major city. Plus we were hit for a "resort fee" that covered parking (again, this is not a city), bottled water (that we were never offered), EV charging (we don't have an EV), and more of little use to us. There were supposedly pools and a fitness center, but you had to drive to another property to use them. There was supposedly a Friday afternoon welcome reception but we didn't see it and it wasn't mentioned during check-in.||Housekeeping did not come at all during our stay We called "the operator" around 4 pm our second day and we were promised by a cheery person that it would be taken care of. It was not. And there were no notices indicating that our room would not be cleaned. ||Otherwise, while our room was generally clean when we arrived, the sofa was dirty and stained with something hard and crusted. There was a public bathroom off the sitting room on the first floor that was disgusting (see pictures.) It looked like it had not been attended to in some time.||I wish I had checked the electrical outlet to make sure I could plug in my phone by the bed, as it was blocked by the bedpost, and the bed was impossible for us to move. By the time I noticed, there was no one to tell. ||On the positive side, there was a nice coffee station on the first floor, also well stocked with tea, cookies, and granola bars, as well as every type of sweetener you could desire. And the view over the lake IS nice.||Had I paid approximately half what we were charged, I'd probably expected less, but at these prices, I think the place should be cleaner, and better staffed, with reliable housekeeping.

The Good, the Not So Good, the not really ugly but.......|We stayed 4 nights at Bay Point at Mill Falls, and with the exception of our first day of check-in on Monday where a live human did check us in, we didn't have alive person in the lobby again until checkout on Friday. It didn't bother us much, but there was a family stranded outside when their door key wouldn't open the automatically locked front door in the evening that had to struggle to get a love person on one of the other adjacent properties for help.||Our king bed room on the 4th floor was spacious and very well kept by housekeeping all week (bedding, bath, etc.), but the windows in the seating nook area had quite a bit of cobwebs and dirt that was never touched. Our room's door wouldn't lock properly, and was quickly handled by a call to a friendly Guest Services agent and a prompt property engineer who came and attempted to fix it. It was determined that it wasn't closing properly due to moisture (tail end of a couple rainy days) and we were instructed that we just had to slam it hard to close - my apologies to our neighbors for the door slamming - not our decision!||All in all, the location was good, parking was a little difficult when the small parking lot filled up with Lago restaurant customers. The price of 4 nights was over $1200 +, and for that cost, although a nice enough spot, a little disappointing.

First, the positive. The staff at Bay Point and Church Landing are all very nice, accommodating and seem to be trained to keep their visitors happy. We had several lovely meals at the restaurants on site with our servers remembering us each time. ||Our room was nice, though the bathrooms are indeed in need of an upgrade. The tub is oddly narrow too. We learned while there they are getting new bedding very soon which will solve the negative feedback about the flat sheets being used as fitted sheets and duvet covers. The fall activities they offered could have been much better. Carmel apple decorating consisted of a crackpot of Carmel to dip said apple and a jar of sprinkles. ||The areas for improvement are 1) There was only one person whom we saw at the front desk of the Bay Point building and only for an hr or so during out 3 night stay. It was very odd. Housekeeping didn't show on the first day, we called down twice on day 3 and finally got our room cleaned around 5pm. The gentleman who cleaned it was super nice and apologetic. The check in process was also very rocky. They called us at 2pm to say our room was ready, we showed up shortly after to be told it wasn't ready and didn't end up getting our keys until 5pm. There was 1 person working the desk on a weekend with 5 weddings and 100+ check ins according to them. That's a really unfortunate position to put an employee in. ||Overall this hotel is falling to the same fate as so many others we've stayed at which is value in comparison to cost. When guests pay $500/night, especially in New Hampshire, there's a certain expectation of service that comes along with that price. It's a mental threshold of you will and hotels need to realize they have to deliver on a greater service promise in charging these prices. We felt this fell short here. ||Would we go back? Probably not for the price we paid, perhaps if we could score a deal.

We had such a lovely couple's getaway here. We enjoyed the brewery down the street prior to check-in. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived so we enjoyed the hot tub at the adults only pool. It was so beautiful overlooking the lake. We checked in at the main building and drove to Bay Point. We stayed in the room with a king bed and window view of the lake. The room was so cute and the best was large & comfy. We changed before dinner and ate at the Lakehouse restaurant. Food and service was great. We ended the night with a night-cap back at Lago since it was located in the same building that we were staying. We also got to sit outside and enjoy the lake at night, as well as explore the lit up waterfall across the street. In the morning we grabbed coffee and walked through the sculpture garden. We got breakfast at the mellow moose before heading home. Wonderful romantic trip that we really enjoyed. Also- the fall leaves were AMAZING!
