I stayed at the Courtyard Carson City mainly because it was one of the better rated hotels in Carson City. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't great due to all of construction going on at the hotel. The entire dining area was closed off as well. There was no continental breakfast and no coffee in the morning due to the construction and there was no offer for any compensation either. The room's heater/air conditioner was very noisy as well. The staff was friendly which is why I gave it 3 stars.

They are remodeling, but maybe they should focus on cleaning drains as our bathtub didn't drain and shower curtain was too short so the bathroom flooded.
The room is comfortable enough though I've slept on beds more comfortable at the best western, Atlantis and peppermill. Marriott usually have very comfy beds for my fused back.

The hot tub and pool were very inviting and appeared cleaned and maintained.

Staff was very responsive

The facility is nicely located with casino (eating and drinking) and galaxy theatre within walking distance.

I thought the hotel had a lot of street noise...only double pane windows. Should have used a higher grade double pane or triple pane to better shield the extremely busy 395.

The area feels very safe.

$668 for two nights, but this isn’t a$334/night property. Unbelievably overpriced. I travel a lot and would have pegged this at $225-$250/night. It’s very clean, no complaints, but the pricing is out of line for what the property offers. There are a lot of more reasonably priced properties in the area, so look elsewhere.

Nice hotel, found the room a bit dark. Bed was comfortable, shower was hot... That's all that matters! I did not try the breakfast as it was not my kind of food. It can get loud in the morning with trucks passing by if you have a room facing the main road.

Made a pre-pay reservation by accident and had to cancel due to a snowstorm. Marriot Bonvoy member services said the local GM is the only person who could issue a refund. Spoke to them, explained the situation and asked for a refund with the intentions of paying any service fees. Asked about re-booking at their location for the same amount of time the following week and even willing to pay a higher rate.

The hotel refused to try and work something out. I know I messed up by pre-paying, but anyone in the customer service business knows you put the customer first. Especially when there will be no lost revenue by doing so!

Headed to Hilton from now on...

Under major renovation, no lobby, no restaurant (just tiny bar), no gym/fitness center, no grab n go breakfast… room was great, fine stay overall, but no heads up into the state of this renovation..

Staff did a pretty good job of recovering from a power outage--front lobby was friendly and responsive. At the bistro the experience was mixed--one meal was frustrating, the second meal was better.
Worst, however was cleanliness of rooms. I have come to expect better from Marriott, but this place was not clean--especially floors and bathrooms. Won't stay here again.

100 room hotel but they only have 4 MINI Luggage Carts. After 10 hours of driving we did not expect to have to carry our luggage to the car when we left. Our 7 year old was so excited this morning because he loves the array of cereals, juice, waffles, sausage etc that hotels offer in the morning. Imagine his sadness to find only a small kiosk with coffee, lattes, bottled expensive juices and a few expensive pastries. NO cereal at all. $40 later we were even more disappointed because the pricy fresh fruit had no flavor and none of the contents were ripe. Families traveling will not get their needs met here. We chose a Marriott because of past positive experience and a stellar reputation. Our room was too small to accommodate a television so they installed it to the right side of the small desk and no matter how you turned it, the screen was not fully visible to the person laying on the left side of the bed. And my personal pet peeve is no exhaust fan in the bathroom and only 1 hook in the bathroom to hang anything. Sink was really too small for a family too but the bath tub was big. Families need more counter space in the bathroom. But thanks for the complimentary bottled water and cookies when we arrived. When I complained about no luggage carts when we left despite an almost empty parking lot that was filled when we arrived… the employee told me he has worked here for 5 1/2 years and this was the first complaint about luggage carts. Well, most guests don’t complain directly… they just don’t come back, especially with so many other hotel choices. And most people not happy with their experience usually do tell their friends.
