We got married on 10/4/24 and used Butler’s Bus Service to transport our bridal party and our guests. The drivers transported my guests and bridal party to and from the venue safely. Our only issue was that we somehow had three drivers and three buses when we only ordered two (for about 100 guests). My contract specifically noted that one bus would depart early for the bridal party transportation to the first look/photos and would then meet the second bus to transport guests from the hotel to the venue. While I had offered to provide the drivers meals in July, and the company said they would inquire in August/September when they assigned drivers, when I inquired again in September before our final numbers were due to our venue, I received no response re: driver meals. But on the day of, all three drivers requested a meal, one that had not been ordered (or paid for) because no one confirmed which meal they wanted or if they even wanted one at all. Thankfully, my venue was absolutely amazing and fed all three drivers with no issue. And I didn’t learn of the issue until the night was over. The drivers and buses themselves were great, but there seemed to be quite a bit of miscommunication between the company I communicated with re: scheduling and the drivers who actually worked with us on our big day. Slightly concerned that I overpaid because I do not know how the quote was calculated and whether I paid for 2 buses/drivers (as intended) or 3 (as provided). Also - though we had way more buses than we needed, only one bus transported guests back to the hotel, meaning everyone had to wait until the venue was empty (the original plan) v. one bus leaving 15-30 minutes earlier while the other one (or two) waited for the venue to be cleared.

They seem to find it impossible to run a route on time. They see they will notify if they are running late. They do one time in ten. I get that things happen, but it's like fifteen minutes late every single day. For the whole year.

Absolutely awful. My son came home with a black eye that he got on the bus. I emailed this company about it. They replied asking what district he was in. That's it. Never heard back from them. I had to contact the police! His current bus driver is Absolutely horrible and not a single thing is being done. She's verbally abusive and drives like a maniac.

Awful company! Poor management! This company refuses to drive down our neighborhood despite it being a public road. My children are required to go to the beginning of our street (.4 miles from our house!) and cross a blind intersection that Butler Bus company has admitted themselves was dangerous. I have fought all 2020/2021 school year throughout their changes and challenges to come up our road to no avail. I am now forced to contact members of our state senate to help me in my cause as Butler Bus company refuses to change or even return a phone call.

Absolutely terrible company who does not take safety of our children seriously. I’m not only concerned about the condition of the busses our kids are transported in, but deeply disturbed by the terrible management; especially when it comes to addressing parent’s concerns about their child’s safety. Once you raise your concerns as a parent, they ignore your attempts to contact them. I would not recommend this bus company to anyone. They approved a formal bus stop change request for a parents safety concerns and then change it three months into the school year with literally two minutes notice. Apparently the busses SAU39 is contracting to transport our children can’t drive down a road with less than an inch of snow…

The bus driver for our son’s school was a rude, impatient, awful lady. This morning she showed up 4 minutes early, my son was all ready, he just needed to get his backpack on and in the 10 seconds it took us to put on his backpack and open the door, she was gone. In the afternoon, she would start honking incessantly before she even stopped the bus if I was not sitting outside waiting for them. She was rude and snappy towards my 6 year old all the time. I called the bus company several time to complain and nothing was done. They would actually lie and say, “our GPS shows she waited 30 seconds for your son” but my Ring camera on the front of my house would show her just driving right by. My mom and husband couldn’t stand this lady either, it wasn’t just me.

We chartered a bus from Butler's for our wedding guests and they were amazing! They were much more affordable than all the other bus companies and charters we looked into. They were on time and the driver was really sweet. Chartering for events can be limited so that they can meet their obligations to the town and school district, but if you get a chance to book them for an event, they are great!!
