We attended the Octoberfest celebration and it was amazing down to the last detail. Such a well organized event. Food was delicious and desserts...wow. So good. Great authentic band , plenty of seating. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Sadly the Mile Away property has been sold so this event was the last harrah.

I fell in love with this venue the minute I saw it - it is just so naturally beautiful! They’re also a restaurant and the food is really good, all of our guests loved it! But even more importantly, the day of coordinator - Sarah Murphy - went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure we had the most amazing day. It ended up raining enough on our wedding day that we decided to get married under their back-up ceremony tent - and it started to pour when I had to walk into the tent. Sarah held my train off the ground all the way over the grass until I got to the tent and also made sure to have umbrellas staged for my husband and I to use for our exit. That morning I was worried about where we would stage for photographs due to all the rain and she came up with a perfect plan on the spot! There are a million other little details that Sarah and the rest of the Mile Away team took care of as well that made our day spectacular, I would highly recommend them as a wedding venue.

The Mile Away Restaurant is a great option for an outdoor summer wedding. There is a beautiful ceremony site, a tent with large dance floor, many options for portraits and great food. The staff are also super nice and helped organize a sparkler sendoff for the newly weds.

Wonderful dining experience. Charming atmosphere with very attentive wait staff. The 4 course meal was delicious 😋 and reasonably priced. We will definitely go back. My husband and I had a drink on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful grounds before going into the dining room.

We had a lovely experience here with friends. The food was delicious and the grounds were beautiful. I only wish my Moscow mule had been served in a copper mug. Overall it was a great experience.

Beautiful outdoor tented venue! Couldn't have been more picture perfect! We started under a perfect blue sky with the sun shimmering down upon the bride and groom and ended dancing the night away under the stars! Terrific food- wonderful service- good lighting! Lovely grounds, complete with pond and actual crane- the kind with wings. Rustic yet elegant.

I wanted to take my mother to a 4 course dinner. We chose to go here despite it being an hour away due to the high reviews. The place is absolutely beautifully located and adorable. However, the food was mediocre at best. There is a wide variety of entrees to choose from, which was great for our family. The restaurant APPEARED very promising. HOWEVER, we will never return. I am giving them 3 stars, for the décor, the menu, and the cat.

Our reservation was for 6:30, we weren't sat until 6:45 due to no tables available. Annoying, but understandable. This would not have been a downfall if our waitress was accommodating. We ordered drinks and waited quite a bit for them. The bread was great and could have held us over the 45 mins we waited for any food to hit the table, but we were never offered 2nds. The 5 of us got 4 course meals. The appetizers were okay. Nothing exciting. The salads were ugly. Although my raspberry vinaigrette was fantastic, it looked like I had a cup of mixed vegetable thrown on a plate. The appearance wasn't appetizing at all. The Caesar and blue cheese dressings were overly salty. The entrees came in good size portions. The chicken parm and picatta were okay. The filet was complete unseasoned and rather flavorless. The carrots were glazed in a sauce that wouldn't belong on anything and the ratatouille looked like slop and the texture was far overcooked. The ganache was solid ganache. No cake inside or anything. Maybe I was expecting something else, I don't know. But after spending over $200 on dinner you wouldn't think we'd be leaving hungry.

Love the ambiance of this place. The food is amazing. I had a fruit cup with sorbet, a salad, wiener schnitzel with Swiss potatoes, pickled beets and lemon mascarpone cake! 😋
