The food here was amazing! We had a party of 8 and everyone commented on how great the food was. This place is a hidden jewel. I wish our town had a restaurant like this. The fried pickles were wonderfully breaded/fried, the club sandwich (lots of meat), and my daughter loved the pretzel bites. My husband said the burger was great! You can’t go wrong here, the food is authentic. If we had a longer stay I would have wanted to try more items on the menu. If you stay at the Berry Hill Resort, it’s steps away from your hotel room :).

Visiting a friend in Halifax. We decided to give this tavern a try. The service was great, My burger was the best I have had in a long time. The sweet potato fries were yummy. We got the sampler platter as an appetizer. My favorite was the fried pickles. We will be back.

Our party of four had an excellent experience at the Tavern. The room we ate in was rustic but comfortable. The food (we had appetizers and lunch) was well prepared, tasty, and plentiful. Our server, Kristen, was helpful and attentive. Highly recommended.

We met longtime friends from college at Darby's Tavern today for lunch and had a wonderful time! The food was delicious and graciously served by Kristen. She went out of her way to make sure that we had everything we needed and that our time was enjoyable. The appetizers were so good - especially the fried pickles and housemade cheese sticks. Oh! Those cheese sticks! The breading was light, crispy, and cooked to perfection. My husband, who describes himself as a very picky eater, got the ribeye steak which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. And the macaroni and cheese was "just amazing." We all enjoyed our meals and had a great time just catching up! We will definitely be returning!!

So I recently moved to town and am so happy I found this place. Darby's Tavern is a cool place to eat, drink and hang out. There are 4 different rooms in the tavern, plus the bar area, all decorated very cool, and one even has a FREE pool table! The manager, Crystal, is so accommodating and helpful. She even went out of her way to get diet tonic just for me! Now that's what I call customer service. Such a pleasant atmosphere. The food is top notch here also. They have the BEST jalapeno poppers I have ever had in my life! The wings are outstanding, burgers are on point! If you haven't been and are ever in the area plan a stop here.

Attended the valentine special. The wait for the food was about 40 minutes when it arrived it was just warm which would be ok if it hadn't been a reading of 59 on the thermostat on adjacent wall. Overall the food and service was good.

We ordered pretzel bites with beer cheese and then we split a club sandwich and tater tots. Everything was very good, but the Sangria was even better. They has indoor and outdoor dinning and live music.

Alexis and Kristen were absolutely phenomenal! Great service and great personalties. Very down to earth staff all around. The tavern has really improved over the years.
