Actually, there is a VA medical clinic in this building. Pretty nice folks. But from the "warehouse-like" entrance, the building looks like maintenance and upkeep of the building as a whole is severely neglected

I've lived in the area for 10 years. At one point I needed food stamps. The staff there was helpful and they made the process as painless as possible. They went above and beyond by counseling me about my discomfort with the fact that I needed help. Often times, especially for people who've always been independent their whole lives, we have a hard time asking for help. Health and human services was just that. And there was not a long wait. My paperwork was processed in my assistance was swift. That was a couple of years ago, before the pandemic though...

When I call for help I'm put on hold for half an hour and I still can't get a hold of anyone. Although when I called and got through to someone another time the lady was very nice but she tried to connect me to someone else who could help me which was another 20 minutes. Don't know if this is how it is there or if it's just because of covid its very frustrating though.

Had DNA test done and the woman was great and easy going, it was also a very quick visit, a picture a thumb print and a few swabs of the cheeks, sign your John Hancock and bam your all done! Ladies at client services were also very nice and helpful, this was one of the best experiences I've had thus far!

The department of Health and Human Services sent me this letter that my son Calvin had high levels of lead in his system. I received this letter on Friday 9/13 at 4:30 pm. Given that it was a Friday and their office and my sons pediatricians office was closed I sat and worried for an entire weekend. I contacted his pediatricians office on 9/16 to discuss this to find out health and human services made a mistake and sent this inaccurate medical information to 297 people. While relieved that my child was ok I am furious that my family was caused worry for more than 48 hours. I then contacted DHHS to discuss this error and what actions would be taken to fix it.. They then told me they would be sending letters to the 297 people explaining this error! I told them this was unacceptable and that those people deserved a phone call apology and to be provided their accurate medical information not an insensitive letter. As of 4pm on 9/17 they have still yet to even print these letters to inform the 297 of their errors! Please share this if you would agree that the 297 deserve a phone call so they will stop hiding behind their letters!

No communication. And wasted 1000.'s of dollars for lies and deceitfullness. Placement is not based on what is best for child. It is based on the buddy system. Welfare approval information is not private. It is given out to everyone with no regards to your privacy. Awful program. Avoid at all costs. I was trying to adopt.
