The dirtiest disgusting place I’ve ever seen the rooms are ridiculously small and there was blood on the mattress. The only thing that would save it as a match don’t go..

City sent me in with a referral...
"staff member of management team"
Was showing me a room,I asked about Bringing my own bed,he said no need as he held a twin mattress up ,said brand new,
Even though the bed bugs on it we're so bad they were crawling up his arm.
And was upset with ME for refusal.
City was upset with me for not staying there as well.
The city welfare system is screwed up

I've been staying at The Welcome Home for almost a year. This place is an amazing place to be. Everyone is friendly and caring. Shyana and the rest of the management here would give you the shirt off their back if you fall on hard time and you show them that you are willing to put in the work to help out. They are extremely secure, we have cameras and overnight security. You are safe here and we are a large family here who looks out for each other anyways.

My boyfriend and I moved into the Welcome Home last summer. The place we were living had a fire and we had no where to go. I called Shyanna and she was extremely nice, and said she would get us in as soon as possible! Since we've been here, we've had no issues. I had friends who lived here about 4 years ago and I will say Shyanna and the new owners have done wonders on this place since then! They even have a food pantry every Sunday for those who live here! The staff also do a great job at making sure people aren't doing drugs or disobeying rules. I've been in other rooming houses in Manchester and the Welcome Home definitely feels more like a home!!

The manager is awesome !!! She truly cares about the place and the people. She is not afraid to get her hands dirty trying to make this place feel like home. She even plans events to get the residents together and to keep the kids active. Its definitely a fixer upper but she is here putting in all her efforts into making this place great. Its improving more and more everyday!!!

Please ignore Jason Gordon's review. The manager asked him to leave because he always causes problems in the building. The people living in the building are happy that he is gone. He wrote his review full of lies because he is mad about being kicked out. Here are the true facts:
1) The new owners and manager don't want any type of bugs in the building and they take it seriously. They had the building sprayed as part of a regular maintenance plan. This is the best the building has ever been.
2) In the 9 months that the new owners have had the building only 1 person (Jason Gordon) has reported them. The city inspected his lies and found nothing wrong. The city is very happy with the new changes at Welcome Home.
3) There is hot water. The new owners just spent $15,000 on a new commercial hot water heater and chimney liner.
4) Rent is very fair - about 50% of what you would pay for a 1 bedroom apartment in the City of Manchester. Plus you would have to pay even more for utilities for that apartment and you would be lucky to have a parking space. An apartment security deposit could cost you $3,600 (first & last month plus security). Shyana the manager even organizes a food run and gets free food for people in the building. She also post new jobs on a job board and helps residents find jobs. Welcome Home gives people a decent place to live at a good price. If it didn't, why did Jason live there for so many years?
5) The manager and night manager are great people. People in the building love them because they truly care about people.
6) Welcome Home has a great reputation and it is getting even better with all of the changes. The manager says she gets about 15 calls a day from people looking for a place to stay.
7) The best part about Welcome Home is that it is a community. Everyone looks out for everyone to make sure that they are making good choices and they pick each other up when they are feeling down. People in the building are close.

First off I'd like to comment on a lot a prefabricated stories being said about the welcome home. There are lots of negative people who come and go through this place. The manager shanna goes out of her way to ensure the safety and cleanliness of this property. On top of that she has organized a food run every weekend for the less fortunate so they have meats bread and vegetables for themselves and their children. She a terrific lady with great compassion for all especially children. The negative responses by some people are clearly fiction. These people fail to pay there rent on time and do not follow the simple rules posted everywhere. So they out of spite slander the place. I know for sure she has this place running with determination and security for all transient guests. With that being said great job shanna sanborn.
