We had an amazing kayaking experience at Valdez Glacier Lake with Stay and Play. Magdalena and Ryan were fantastic guides—extremely nice, helpful, and professional. Everything went as expected and even more. The lake itself is gorgeous, especially on a sunny day, and paddling between the icebergs was a surreal experience. It's only about 10 minutes from the city, making it a convenient and worthwhile visit.
And they even showed us an ice cave!
Highly recommend!

We went for self guided kayaking in Robe Lake. Magdalena and Jim are super kind and responsive. They responded to our requests instantly and made it possible despite our late notice. They gave advice on kayaking route and what to expect for wildlife. We are so lucky to see a family of swans and birds. Best experience we had in Valdez!

We had the best time ever kayaking with Stay and Play. The owner was wonderful. Since glacier lake was frozen, she suggested Robe lake, and we thought it was beautiful. She met us there with all the equipment and had a map for us as well, with highlighted points along the way. She was incredibly helpful and responsive to my questions. They are also dog friendly! They brought padding for our dog and he loved it! Will definitely book again with them!

We did a guided tour on Glacier Lake with Magdalena who was amazing. This tour appealed to us as you are able to get right on the water. We were fortunate to see some newly turned over blue ice. 100% must do if staying in the valdez area for a few days!

We had a party of 6 newbie e-bike riders. They took the time to explain how the bikes work and reassure all of us we could do it. They also explained the map and made awesome recommendations as to what to do first. We used our 3 hours and even went a little longer. Unfortunately/fortunately, we all are looking into buying our very own e-bikes.

Did the Valdez Glacier Lake 3 hour self-guided kayaking. Incredible experience. And very reasonable price for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Magdalena gave us suggestions for a route and specific icebergs worth checking out. She equipped us with all the safety information we should know. Really fun to navigate through the maze of icebergs. Stunning being surrounded in all directions by towering mountains and glaciers. Gear was in good shape. Staff were very friendly and accommodating for our last-minute schedule changes to rebook for a later day/time. I left my lens cap in the kayak and they reached out to get it back to me. We only had 24 hours in Valdez so doing something like a 10 hour sea kayak was much more expensive and probably would have been tiring. So this 3 hour excursion where you can go quite close to blue icebergs was just magical. Bucketlist check! Thank you to Valdez Stay and Play and your crew 🙂

This was such a wonderful and magical trip and the warm hospitality of the Valdez Stay & Play team made it even sweeter. We did the Self-Guided Valdez Glacier Kayaking Tour and the scenery was spectacular. The staff met us on site and gave us a quick run down of the lake, pointed out some trip highlights, and then we were on our way. The lake was easy to navigate and it was an awe inspiring adventure kayaking through icebergs. 10/10 recommend.
