Myself an another coworker booked the Mendenhall Glacier tour in Juneau Alaska! We were confirmed on the 130 tour today and was bumped to 330 when we came back was informed that they were overbooked come back at 4. We asked for our park an bus tickets for the new time and was told sorry your not getting on this your there over booked. Beware when booking this tour. Get the insurance.

The tour guide name Donald was absolutely disgusting…. We were all set for our bus tour when my 5 year old jokingly said he is 6 and he refuse us to board the bus… n said kids don’t lie… we told him … we can bring the passport to prove his age. But he didn’t wait n left us in the middle in of the street. It was raining n cold n we had no umbrella… it was the most disgusting behavior n I felt it was a racist attack since we are brown. Never going to recommend any one this tour service where they don’t believe what parents are telling… we are seeking extra credit from the tour company since our entire day got wasted…

The ride up fun, we really enjoyed the guide etc. but on the way back the political rhetoric was thick and false. NO the governor of Alaska does NOT make 2.5million. NO, the state legislature did NOT get an 8k/month raise. And frankly, we don’t even believe his statement of his rent costs - unsupported by Zillow. All unneeded political BS while on vacation. And it makes us doubt any truth to anything he said 🤷‍♀️. It was all fun until then.
The glacier was a big disappointment. The best view was from the parking lot. Hiking to the falls is beautiful BUT no view of the glacier from it.

DONT BOOK WITH THEM! Worked for them for a very short period of time, I was not trained to give the tours they promise the guests. The other guides are scam artists, one who brings his daughter on tours and sells things in the front of the bus to try and guilt guests into buying them. And when I quit it took them over a month to give me my final check. It’s a wonder this company still exists, with a name like “Last chance” you know what you’re getting I suppose!

The start of the tour was fine, we got glacier and waterfall tour. We were given an 1130 pickup time. We got back at 1131 to find the bus pulling out. We were lucky another tour company gave us a ride back to town and even provided lunch and drink. I plan to return to Alaska but definitely will never give last chance tours another chance.

No problems with any of the details. There were four of us. Meeting place was clear. Our Driver and tour guide Tom (and his daughter Courtney) were very welcoming; informative and entertaining. Everything went as planned and on schedule.

I would not recommend this tour to anyone. My family of 12 was visitng from our Royal Caribbean cruise ship and were recommended to use this tour from AAA. This was not the experience we expected. 7 of the 12 were booked on the 1:30 PM tour and the remaining 5 were booked on a 4:30 tour when we all booked together 5 month ago and selected a tour leaving 30 min after our cruise ship docked. They said they didnt know when we got here but all seemed to have a schedule of when the ships were leaving. So they couldn't accomodate us and clearly whomever made the schedule didn't take the 2 seconds to see there were 3 groups with the same last name from the same boat and group us together. Next we called their customer service number and were told that they couldn't do anything and asked how to make this better instead of providing a solution. Needless to say we cancelled and asked for a refund. The person on the phone stated she would contact the Shore Excusions group immediately to get us a refund. I gave it 2 hours befor calling the emergency number and getting in touch with Shore Excursions with AAA who submitted my refund and stated they had no information about a cancelation from them. We did end up on an amazing tour with Juneau Tours saving $200+ and had an amazing experince thanks to the great customer service from the guys at their tour booth. Save your money, time and effort as we had some friends on the Last Chance Tour and we spoke and received the exact same experience yet I have $200 more in my pocket. This company needs to learn customer service and I will be contacting AAA to recommend they no longer recommend this company to other families.
