Great shop! I am looking for a new hiking pack, and they have a huge selection of brands and sizes (North Face, Patagonia, Osprey, Mammut). Also tons of hiking and biking clothing, gear, accessories, footwear.

They also have a sweet old dog greeted me with a lick to the fingers while I was browsing. 🙂

And what a great spot with windows on the river! I got to watch a crew boat rowing nearby.

Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend a visit!

You will find the Travel & Nature outdoor store tucked into its new location, (with new lighting), near the Amtrack Station across from the Hardware Store. They have packed in a wide selection of outdoor gear ranging form head-laps, guilds, maps, clothing, packs and shoes and boots. Did I mention footwear, the whole back of the store is well stocked with boots, shoes and socks. Here are a few photos...

Excellent selection of clothing and equipment and untouchable customer service! The owner, Rob, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure to go over all of my options to help me find the perfect winter hiking setup. He and his staff made sure that what I got would suit my needs and kept everything well below my budget. It felt great to walk out of the store well educated about the products that I purchased and confident that they would perform great. So glad to call Travel & Nature my go-to store for all of my outdoor adventure needs!

This place was incredible and exactly what we needed. It's so hard to find an outdoors shop that's both local and actually sells equipment that's not hunting/fishing/etc stuff. Rob, the owner, was extremely knowledgeable in what type of gear we wanted, what he had, and what we needed to stay safe for the activities we are doing. He took over two hours to talk to us and show us our options, i am so thankful for that. He never tried to sell us anything above our budget but still provided us with materials that were top notch. Rob is an incredible dude, his business is amazing and I will continue to go back for all my hiking/outdoor needs. Especially after seeing he is morally sound. Great experience.

Really good selection for such a small shop! Staff had a true enjoyment for not only the sales of equipment but for hiking in general. Not only enjoyment but an honest wealth of knowledge. Really tried to make sure we knew what we were buying would work for us. Even extended a 10% military discount to us (not advertised). I can't recommend this place enough. The value is in their experience.

After weeks of toying with the idea of getting myself a new hiking pack, I made my way to Travel & Nature where I had the greatest experience. I tend to have a hard time finding packs that fit my frame well, so I went in hoping to work with a staff member to find a good fit. That's when I met Bob. Bob worked with me for the last hour before closing time, trying on roughly ten different packs, adjusting each, and analyzing their fit until I finally found the perfect one. He was patient, attentive to detail, and kind. Not only am I thrilled with my new pack, but working with Bob was the highlight of my day!

Travel & Nature is the place to go for top quality gear, a great selection, and, best of all, awesome people.

Great store friendly service and great gear. It's a small store but they carry the best in hiking equipment and brand names. They have a wide variety of men's and womens hiking apparel. They carry everything you would need from a long expedition to bird watching. I would highly recommend checking this place out.
