Wally is amazing. His experience and knowledge are only equalled by his kindness and consideration. Wally is the only Temsco pilot in Petersburg and we were lucky to go out with him to the Patterson Glacier. My husband had ridden in helicopters before but I had not, and I was pretty nervous. Wally talked me through everything and made sure I could be calm enough to enjoy the incredible experience. We were also working against the weather, and he was flexible enough to take us out on the only afternoon that was sunny while we were in town. Later we went to Juneau and could see the Temsco helicopters filled with tourists from the cruise ships that went in & out of the glacier every 20 minutes. We felt sorry for those people and felt SO grateful to have had our helicopter ride by ourselves with the best pilot in the area. I cannot recommend Temsco Petersburg and Wally highly enough. Thank you Wally!

Steve, the pilot at this base was an absolute professional and a joy to fly with. I have 34 years in aviation maintenance, and flying with Steve made me feel like I was flying with a trusted friend. The overall condition of the helicopter looked good, and it was a smooth rotor. The flight up to the Glacier was stunning! I highly recommend TEMSCO Petersburg if you are there.

Wally is the quintessential heli pilot
We had difficult weather in get into the Baird glacier for 8 days of ski mountaineering.
He found a narrow weather window to get us in.
He is so experienced and knows the Sikine snow cap intimately. 20 plus years of experience in Petersburg.
While up there the weather turned really bad.
Wally kept in contact with us and again found a even smaller window before a storm raged in for 72 hours
