Not the greatest but worth noting it’s 1980’s celeb status! It was a great movie back then! Maybe not a bad idea to check this place out after seeing the movie! Surely it’s not in great shape but who cares! John Candy and Steve Martin!||Try to make a pit stop here!

It reminds me of the Braidwood Inn from the 1980s. They don't take Diner's Card anymore. Otherwise, a decent motel.

Great place to stay whilst working in the area. Clean and no bugs. Excellent friendly service. Excellent price. I stay here frequently when traveling for work and it is quiet, no matter what shift I happen to be working. I have many options on where to stay when I travel in this area but I always choose the Sun because of the friendly owners and the affordable rates for the room that I rent for an extended stay.

The nightly rates are cheap but that doesn’t remotely justify how dirty our room was. The fridge had weird stains, There was a hole in the wall like someone punched it. No hot water. Cigarette burns on the bed. Weird stains on the carpet. I slept with my clothes on including my jacket on top of the covers. The whole damn place should be demolished honestly. There is nothing going for this motel and the outside lobby looks like it’s last renovation was in 1983 and it was downhill from there

Gus at the front desk was great. He ended up charging us for a double, but it came out about even. Shower curtain rings were a nice touch… Bed was wet tho, as if someone left beer on it while vibrating. Bring your own pillow if allergic to sponge!

Kid at the front desk wouldnt let me and my pregnant wife rent a room because she didnt have her ID but it was already midnight and he took a picture on snapchat of my ID and sent it to who knows who. Would not recommend anyone to stay there
