Not much interaction or people to talk to about the place, but maybe a different day or different hours I would have been able to go inside the main building?
I just viewed everything from the outside, and it was very nice very cool to see some of this history. And right behind the place is a huge Park with old trees and lots of grass an areas where people can bring families to picnic.

We stopped here while travelling through on our way to California. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They answered our questions, made helpful suggestions, and went out of their way to help us. Well worth the stop!

Definitely stop in if you're in Elko. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in the town and sherman station's history. Small but nice gift shop as well

A quiet visitor’s center set in a “campus” of several buildings which were carefully moved from 60 minutes away, preserved and restored. The main house, blacksmith shop, kitchen are all log cabins with sod roofs. The non-profit lovingly performs necessary repairs and upkeep so that we today can see what life was like on this industrious ranch.

We passed through on Labor Day and we’re so sad that we missed y’all but it was very considerate to leave bags of brochures at the back door!! Thank you so much we really appreciate it!
