We’ve been here about half a dozen times and this time was a let down. Took it home which is less than a ten minute drive and kept it in an insulated bag. Usually the food is still plenty warm. The meat had good flavor but was cold to the touch. The Mac n cheese was so cold it came out of the container in a big glob like it does when you get it out of the fridge. We got a chopped chicken sandwich for our kids to split and there wasn’t enough meat on the sandwich for either of them

This place has the best smoked meats I've ever had. Everything has so much flavor and is juice as hell. I've had their brisket, chicken, pulled pork, sausage and now their prime rib Philly and all of it was 5/5. Their smoked sides are just as good.

We had homemade pickles, which were awesome. The flavor was delivered on the pickles, and we tried 6 different types. My boyfriend got the Hilly Billy burger, which he devoured the whole burger. The fries and chips are definitely fresh and home made n cut, you can taste it. I got the chicken nachos, which was awesome. Great seasoning on chicken, and chicken was very good, well cooked, and seasoned. The service was so inviting and awesome.

We used Mountaineer Meat Smokers to cater our June wedding, roughly 150 guests. They were incredible to work with from start to finish. After our initial tasting with them in September, we knew we didn't need to look anywhere else. The price was super reasonable at $35ish a plate, and they gave generous portions. We had brisket, pulled pork, green beans, baked beans, mac n cheese, mushrooms, and coleslaw. All of it was delicious. Our guests RAVED about the food. We had over a dozen guests who were vegetarian, and they had plenty to eat with the sides.They also offered a pickle bar for an additional fee, which was a huge hit. The different flavors were awesome, and it was a unique cocktail hour snack. We had our wedding in my parents' backyard, and Mountaineer Meat Smokers brought everything they needed to set up for a buffet, including a tent and smoker. The guys who served were so kind and funny. You can tell they are experts at catering large events. I really cannot recommend them enough!!

You order at front counter and they call your # when ready

I couldn't really decide what to get so I ordered the Almost Heaven sliders. The pulled pork was very good and so were the buns. The chopped chicken tasted like chemicals and the brisket slider was dry. They make all these different pickles there and offer them up as to go items, but I wasn't offered any with my sliders. Maybe you have to request pickles. I am not really sure since I have never been there before. I have heard how great the Mac and cheese is so I ordered that as my side item. It was burned in some places, clumpy and was served to me barely luke warm. I saw how high the ratings have been for this restaurant so I was quite disappointed with my experience. I was going to get a to go order of ribs for the weekend, but decided not to after eating the other food. There is a QR code sitting on each table to see the menu, but that clearly didn't mean you were getting table service. You order at the register and you get your own utensils and barbecue sauce. Paper towels are on the table.

We traveled over 71 miles one way to find some good smoked meat and we were definitely not disappointed!! We ordered the brisket cheese steak sub,ribeye steak,baby back ribs,smoked mac,bacon and fresh cut fries And everyone agreed it was all delicious!! Will make the trip again( probably more than I want to admit).

Went here Sunday February 16th around 645-700 they closed at 8 but my kids are I were quick to order and eat. The food was thrown together kids hot dogs were half burnt. Then the lady at front was smoking at door with it opened as were eating and then came in didn’t wash her hands and straight back to work. Low review because of the smoking and not washing hands. Food was decent not beat of qualities when I got one regular adult meal and 3 kids meals for almost $90 have a decent tip in jar on counter but if I would of waited to tip I wouldn’t of been so generous…
