Rooms were nice, clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly. We had a room block set up and my contact was wonderful to work this. Very helpful. The location is right downtown so close to restaurants, bars etc. We were only 2.5 miles away from where our basketball tournament was. The only downside was that the pool is a little small.

We would definitely come back and would recommend.

Thank you to the crew at the Grand Stay, La Crosse!|After literally driving all night into La Crosse for a family medical emergency, we were greeted by Keisha at the front desk who was understanding and reserved for us the perfect room. What we though would be a few days trip ended up being a month-long roller coaster ride and through it all, the Grand Stay was incredibly accommodating. My brother, sister and I stayed in a 2-bedroom suite, which is spacious, comfortable and well-appointed and the kitchen was most helpful. Taylor & cleaning crew swapped out towels and took out trash when needed, Tracy, Tiffany & Monica handled last minute revision updates without hesitation, and Anthony kept us laughing at breakfast. When running into Justin (maintenance), he was always sure to ask if everything is ok.|The 3 of us would begin our day very early in the morning in the back of the breakfast area getting work done on our computers, then upon return, very late into the night, in our unofficial office and Gina always made sure we had fresh hot water for our tea. |The hotel is located on the beautiful Mississippi River and is within walking distance of the historic downtown area. Our room was clean, the breakfast hot and the lobby/community areas relaxing. Oh – and thank goodness for on-site guest laundry!|The crew at the Grand Stay all worked together to make a difficult time as easy on us as they possibly could, and I will even go as far as to say we made friends during our month together.|Sincerely, the “414 Team”

6 of us went to lacrosse for a short spring break trip. There were two adults and 4 kids. We stayed in a two bedroom suite. Overall the room was on the smaller size. The beds were comfortable. The sofa bed was awful... Bring an air mattress! The complimentary breakfast is nice to have but very basic. There is a waffle maker, dry cereal, one different hot option each day. Some yogurt would be a great addition... The options are very carb heavy. It was nice to have the pool and hot tub... But they are very small. Pool capacity is 14. Overall it worked for our short trip and the price was worth it.

What a great experience! I felt like this hotel is a hiden secret for La Crosse. Great location near the down town (few blocks walking distance). LOTS of space not only in the rooms but in the hotel in general. It makes you feel like you can breath and function unlike most hotels these days. Great prices (very reasonable and affordable for families). I hope that they do not change what they are doing as we plan to use them again as we visit La Crosse. Thank you!

Great experience overall! Was a lovely surprise to have the space in the rooms and hotel in general. You do not see this in most hotels these days. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fulfilling. I highly recommend.

I couldn’t be any more impressed with this place for the price. Tiffany, at the front desk, was exceptional. I travel for work and put in long days, so a warm welcome from a kind face goes a long way in my book (Thank you, Tiffany! 🙂). I had a great night of sleep in a super clean room, and everything was just great. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone visiting or passing through La Crosse, WI, without hesitation. Unfortunately, after checkin late afternoon and dropping bags off, we came back to the hotel after 10pm, and found blood splatters on the pillows and sheets. After a 7 hour drive with stops and a short evening out, we were too tired to worry about it, turned pillows over and wife slept on the other side, but yet another hotel saying NO room service unless specifically requested.
Are sheets actually being changed, or checked between visits?
From this road trip of over 3000 miles, the American Hospitality excellence is being severely compromised by shortage of staff and lack of management focus.

I've stayed twice recently and the first trip was great. Quiet hotel nothing wrong. Second trip I got a two bedroom suite which was apparently a mistake since it seemed like the room above us was occupied by aspiring gymnasts with no adults to stop the jumping off the bed. The 6am wakeup call by the garbage truck reverse alarm was not one I had requested.
