Lovely low key non-chain hotel, not fancy at all which is part of its charm. Desk people, especially Missy, couldn't have been more pleasant Coffee in lobby 24 hours is very good, and they have lemon in the
water, which was a nice touch The breakfast is awesome. There is a bar too that is really nice. Rooms would have been 5 stars if it weren't for the lack of air conditioning but it doesn't really get hot enough up there to warrant it most of the time anyway

This hotel is not a 5 star BUT the staff was even better! We had a perfect stay, comfortable bed, all the amenities and a great hot breakfast. And the price was normal (not gouging like a few of the others). We would stay againg AND recommend! Quaint, comfy and kind people.

No elevator! It is a 3 star hotel. The rooms are kind dated, but the staffs are friendly and great location. Also free breakfast. My kids enjoyed.

Also no AC in the room, so we had to keep the window open, but there were holes on the screen..

Very unassuming hotel in a GREAT location in Valdez! While not the fanciest hotel or the most amenities, they make up for it with the location, the cleanliness, the service, and most importantly, the breakfast. We stayed here two nights and, from the very beginning were welcomed and taken care of. The rooms are pretty bare bones but they are clean and spacious enough. nice breeze also came in the window, which was nice. The best part of the Glacier Hotel was easily the breakfast. Each morning from 6:00-9:00am, a hot breakfast is prepared by a wonderful cook (did not get his name)! Eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits & gravy, and waffles are just a few of the items that we enjoyed. You can tell the cook really enjoys what he does and was super helpful and friendly each morning. We would book this hotel again just for the breakfast! Highly recommended.

Glacier Hotel is just in front of Valdez Museum and a short distance from Valdez Harbor and dining places. I booked this hotel as I was late to book for my July 2024 trip and did not have many options, but I was surprised with this hotel. Well maintained, rooms are clean, they serve good hot breakfast with plenty of options.|I ended up extending my stay for one more day in this hotel.|From the outside, it looks a bit dated, but I feel it is ok for a 1-2 night stay.||Thank you!|travel-learn-repeat.blogspot

Room was clean with a gorgeous view of the mountains. Bed was not very comfortable unfortunately and it was a little loud from street traffic but we had the window open to keep the room cool. Breakfast was decent good variety to pick from.

Our ferry from whittier got in late so I just needed a place, any place, to rest my head. I didnt have high expectations when I booked online so when we walked into our room I was blown away at how clean and great the room was. The housekeeping was top notch, the towels are folded in an ornate manner and everything was extremely pristine.

Continental breakfast was included, clean, and presented nicely (and still hot!)

Good vibes from the staff all around. Thanks for making this leg of our vacation enjoyable!

Hotel and staff were great. Nothing fancy but Mindy and Nichole were awesome. The breakfast was real food and we enjoyed it very much. We would definitely stay here again
