I booked a once and a lifetime trip for my daughter and I for her 16th birthday. She developed a nearly fatal case of Toxic Shock Syndrome and even though I cancelled with more than enough time for them to resell the tickets, they wouldn't even consider a half return. Now I'm struggling to pay medical bills and they can't give me more than a chat gpt response. I'm heartbroken.

Very Difficult to work with. We missed our outbound flight so I rebooked on my own using points because it was cheaper. I booked a full round trip because they said the entire reservation would be canceled.
Turns out that wasnt true so I had two outbound flights from Punta Cana. I cancelled the one with funjet because the other flight I purchased on my own was non-refundable.

After 4 weeks of back and forth Fun jet said my credit was available and to contact American Airlines to rebook. American says that funjet still has the reservation locked and once its unlocked I can rebook. I had to email three more times for help and the only response was to contact another department and they gave no contact information.

The trip was at the end of April and now its the first of June. This is such a headache! Not to mentioned how many calls I had to make during my vacation to ensure my flight was canceled. took two days. It was a big deal because you cannot have duplicate trips leaving the same country at the same time. The airport will cancel both. I will never book my flights with a travel company again.

Initial booking review only.
Heads up if booking from Canada.
Just booked a Cancun Pkg. from Vancouver Canada and immediately upon making payment......the total stated USD.
Not as good of a deal as we thought! (:
And not disclosed anywhere until already paid.

Also, their recommended Travel Protection option (cancellation insurance etc.) was not an option we could find at any booking step as stated throughout Funjet website.
Will hopefully end up with a great holiday despite initial hiccups.....ultimately our fault though!

Very poor customer service. I had made a typo on my registration page so they wouldn’t send me my travel documents. They would do nothing to help me. I ended up having to call another travel agent for help.
