Amazing camp, more amazing people!
We just finished Family camp week and it was perfect.
Lots to do and see, great water activities, lots of sports and dancing. We had a wonderful time.
Food was great.

The team and management are outstanding and doing their best to help with anything.

Our son spent 7 weeks at Camp Walt Whitman last year (his first summer away) and he had an amazing experience. Jed and Carolyn run a camp like no other I have seen. There is a warmth and kindness that exists at CWW that is palpable. The kids have access to everything from sports to the arts to special events that are unique to CWW (intentional hiking program, square dancing etc). All kids are valued for what they bring and enjoy and are challenged to venture outside of their comfort zones. We know CWW will be a part of our family for years to come and look forward to watching our son grow up there!

Camp Walt Whitman is an incredibly special place and has been a second home for both my boys for the past 7 years. They've had the most amazing summers, created lifelong friendships and grown so much from their camp experiences.
And I can't say enough about the camp directors- Jed and Carolyn - who have created a super fun, positive and supportive environment. They are so special and always go and above and beyond to make sure the kids are happy and having the best summer possible. And all the counselors and staff have been fantastic every year. Highly, highly recommend!!

The absolute best sleep-away camp!! Camp Walt Whitman is my three children's collective happy place, and they are all very different kids! We've been a CWW family for 8 years and have many more coming. They do it right with a great balance of values, love of nature, sports, amazing creative activities and a true sense of belonging for the campers. Can not recommend this wonderful camp enough.

Full disclosure, I am a long time staff member of Camp Walt Whitman. My first summer was 2009.

I'll ignore the love, and the magic, and the beauty. I'll even ignore the people. Suffice it to say that all three of those things are about as good as you could ever hope to find. What has always struck me about camp, from day 1 of my first year, is the competency.

This place is the big leagues, its incredibly professional and has the ability to handle nearly and issue that comes up. I have had many jobs in my life, but working at camp is the only one where I know that everything will work out ok. The leadership and organizational IQ is off the charts. Its like seeing the magicians tricks--that's how the magic happens, that's how the beauty happens, that's how the people happen.

I can think of no greater use of a summer than spending it at CWW. Your children are in excellent hands and will come out of the summer more capable, more confident, and moving in the right direction. They will also have some of their favorite memories, new best friends, and a whole slew of new hobbies.

Camp is magic, the beauty of childhood, an adventure. I cannot recommend CWW enough. It changed my life and I am so lucky I can still be part of the CWW family all these years later.

You will not regret sending your child here, or working here, or doing anything else here. It's my favorite place.

Walt Whitman is the place for down-to-earth, caring children and families. The magic of sleep away camp has been mastered by Jed and Carolyn Dorfman, the camp directors. Every detail of the camp is intentionally designed to create a safe, loving, and exciting New England sleep away camp experience with longstanding traditions, screen-free fun, and meaningful relationship building every minute of the day and night. Hiking is a big part of the program and my children have grown tremendously, both personally and socially, each summer. Walt Whitman is a "home away from home" where children grow confidence, try new things, and build life long friendships at this special, magical place. My children certainly live "10 for 2" and Walt Whitman knocks it out of the park every summer!

I have two children that attended Camp Walt Whitman this summer and both of them had an amazing experience. Besides meeting wonderful new friends, they learned how to navigate problems, gained independence and experienced new activities in a beautiful setting. I can't say enough about the staff who kept us up to date and informed on how our kids were doing in their first year. Jed and Carolyn instantly became part of the family.
