My mother spent three years in this facility. Belmont Village does not cater to residents who have children out-of-state. Not only are the staff hard to get ahold of for information, when you do speak with someone, they do not understand your frustration. A relative fears for their parent, and the staff does not understand what the grief is about. They expect you to be pleasant and knowledgable at all times. They do not explain, and they are very abrupt. Although I asked repeatedly to be informed of my mother's progress, they continually left me "out of the loop." Belmont Village is not a caring place at all, certainly not for a relative that traveled every month to see her mother.

My dad moved to Belmont three years ago from an independent living situation. He went into the Circle of Friends (first level memory care) right away as he was already experiencing challenges with his daily functioning. I can't say enough about how wonderful the staff is at Belmont. The nurses and the pals are some of the kindest people you could ever hope to meet. The care they provide for the residents is extremely kind and respectful. All of the staff from the administration to the maintenance staff and restaurant staff are friendly and accessible. They make Belmont feel like a home, not just to the residents, but to their families as well. Because of Belmont, my dad made friends and had many enjoyable activities during his two and a half years in the Circle. He is now in the Neighborhood (more advanced memory care), but I still stop by the dining room to chat with his Circle friends. Having a family member struggle with dementia and other aging issues is very difficult, but Belmont has made this time in our lives easier, and I truly appreciate them. I would highly recommend this community to anyone looking for senior care.

I normally do not write reviews, but because of the care my mother and mother-in-law have received over the past 4 years at Belmont Village Buffalo Grove, I wanted to share my experience with anyone looking to make this difficult decision. Our family has found consistently, that all of the staff is kind, compassionate, and respectful to each and every resident and family member. They know everyone's name and always greet you with a smile. The facility is always clean and cheerful, the food is good and there are many activities that the staff encourage the residents to participate in. The residents are well cared for and the PALS always acknowledge and talk with the residents - with a smile. As in any situation, there are difficult times, but I've found the administration to be receptive to feedback. Thank you Belmont for being a great option for residential senior care and for helping our aging population, age with dignity.

Belmont Village Buffalo Grove is like a second home for our family. My mother has been living there for 3+ years and she has been incredibly well cared for. She's had very unusual medical/mental health challenges and the Belmont Village staff has continually provided compassionate care, thoughtful recommendations and a warm and welcoming environment for her to thrive. In addition, it feels like home for me, my family and my siblings. We are always personally greeted and treated like members of the Belmont Village family. When you put someone you love into the hands of someone else for care, there needs to be a high degree of trust and we've felt that since day one at Belmont Village. I so appreciate the staff in Buffalo Grove and also realized the importance of a strong corporate backing during the Pandemic. Belmont Village was incredible in adapting to the many challenges the pandemic presented, despite many, many difficulties for everyone. I always recommend Belmont Village to friends who are exploring care for their loved ones!

My mother moved to Belmont Village of Buffalo Grove ten months ago after a short stay at another assisted living/memory care facility. Unfortunately, nursing/aide staffing in the assisted living unit of that former facility was not equipped to support my mom's increasingly demanding physical needs so we were told that she was going to have to be moved to memory care despite the progression of her Alzheimer's not yet requiring such a placement. We said no and started looking elsewhere.
Thankfully we discovered Belmont Village. Management at the Belmont Village facility was able to offer my mother a very nice apartment on an assisted living wing that was well staffed to meet Mom's physical needs while independently placing her in the Circle of Friends activity group that best matched her level of cognitive ability.
Mom loves living at Belmont Village and calls it home. To think just over a year ago, she had reclusive tendencies living alone in a house with the shades down all day and no longer initiating social contact with her neighbors and friends. The staff at Belmont Village has done an amazing job helping my mother emerge from her "cocoon." She is socially active in her Circle of Friends group and participates in most planned activities each day. Her favorites include bingo 3 times a week, entertainment twice a week, a weekly wine & cheese social and other special game events when offered. Her memory and cognition are challenged every day throughout the day with personalized activities and her physical needs and personal hygiene are well cared for. Also Josephine's Kitchen offers lots of healthy choices including fresh seasonal ingredients; the meals are well prepared and always delicious.
Bottom line: Mom is very happy and we are deeply thankful to Belmont Village of Buffalo Grove!

Belmont Village was the perfect place for my mom. The nurses and PALs were so attentive and so friendly- I couldn’t have asked for more. Even the dining room staff got to to know her, helped her with selections and always knew her favorites. When we first arrived, they made us feel so special. It truly is a “family” there- from the time you are greeted at the front door, to knowing that there is someone watching and attentive at night. Wonderful place!

My friend has been living there for a few months. Whenever I visit the staff is friendly & very helpful. Belmont is very clean & the staff is very accommodating. It is a much better place & the care she gets is so much better than the places she has been before. It's a pleasure to visit her there. The menus each day sound great & my friend says the meals are delicious!
