We had a blast! This tour was fun, beautiful and enjoyable even in the rain! They do a great job at preparing you, and keeping you entertained. They were really nice and patient with those who weren’t as experienced too, I appreciated seeing that! We got to see a ton of bald eagles feeding on the shore which was crazy!

When you are seeking adventure in Juneau, look no further than Alaska Travel Adventures. The Mendenhall Glacier Canoe Tour was everything we wanted and more. Our guide, Tod, was engaging, funny, knowledgeable and brought our group of strangers together into a team. Anyone who has tried to wrangle a group of strangers into a cohesive unit knows how hard that can be. After all the eating and drinking on the ship, the exercise and bracing fresh air on the lake was so relieving. The surrounding scenery and the glacier itself was breathtaking. Thank you Alaska Travel Adventures and thank you to our awesome guide Tod for an incredible excursion!

Alaska Travel Adventures did a great job with our kayaking experience, all in thanks to our groups guide Claire. While my partner and I had some trouble initially she made sure we were able to rejoin the group and did not make us feel bad about. Instead she took the time to chit chat, as she did with every other group making it feel personal and more joyful. All the guides appeared to do great, but Claire made sure everyone in our group felt calm/eased any anxious nerves, saw the glacier as close as we could at the time, and simply enjoy the entire experience.

I would absolutely recommend Alaska Travel Adventures for any excursion based off of the success and thrill our kayaking tour provided. Additionally due to the fact that I would assume, based off of similar hiring trends, that the rest of their employees would be as great as Claire was.

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS EXCURSION! Tyler was our guide and made the entire event outstanding. We were given excellent instructions for loafing , unloading and paddling as a unit .
The closeness that we got to the Mendenhall Glacier was so amazing . The Nugget waterfall was beautiful and we had a stop off at the beach by the waterfall for photo ops and a snack.
Such an excellent experience!! Paddling a wooden 18-person canoe to a glacier in a glacial lake . WOW!!

Michael was great! Great dad jokes all around. Very knowledgeable about the animals and glacier. Kayaking was a lot of fun and we saw lots of animals! Seals and lots of bald eagles galore. Would definitely recommend to anyone! Michael is also a great photographer and send you pictures at the very end. All gear is provided and snacks at the end.

Amazing family friendly excursion! We stopped at Juneau on our cruise and wanted something to do other than the shops at the port and we are so glad we booked this. Gentry was our rafting guide. He was so knowledgeable about the river, answered all of our questions, and entertained our kiddos along the way. Highly recommend if you are local or stopping here on a cruise. Ask for Gentry to be your guide!!! Added bonus as there was beer and snacks at the end ?

FABULOUS! We did the canoe adventure with Sophia and it was fantastic. Beautiful day out, went around the bend to the glacier and stopped at the beach with nugget falls for a leg stretch and snacks. Then back to the beach. Grateful for the water boots for the boat and walking by the falls. Highly recommend! Thanks Sophia!
