I met Ken by chance, and he welcomed me on an unforgettable journey through Cordova and the surrounding wilderness. With his expertise as a world-class transporter and genuinely great guy, I spent a month in Cordova with comfortable accommodations at a fair price—a warm place to stay, a shower, and, most importantly, a dryer.

During that month, Ken dropped me on every game species imaginable— I harvested moose, brown bear, black bear, blacktail deer, mountain goat, dozens of ducks, and caught hundreds of silver salmon, rainbow trout, and Dolly Varden.

Ken gave me memories to last a lifetime and I maade a friend I look forward to seeing every year.

I hunted Mountain Goat with Captain Ken in September of 2024, and all I have to say is good things about his operation. Ken’s friendly and easy going demeanor made this caliber of trip much less stressful than it could be. Ken also provides excellent logistical support in Cordova, from gear staging and a bunk house with beds showers and LAUNDRY! So huge after the hunt.

The hunt was the coolest mountain goat hunt I’ve ever been on. Pack in, self supported, for a week. Ken was our check in and emergency contact, which was excellent. Ken does everything he can to put his hunters in the best areas, and not to over pressure the game, and IT SHOWS!!! We had zero competition and a ridge loaded up with goats. Black-Bears-a-plenty too, if that’s your thing. My friend and I doubled up on goats, so there were some darn heavy packs coming out, but that’s a good thing! If you’ve got the time to wait, and the back to haul it out, you could walk away with a Billy goat of a lifetime on this hunt. We saw a lot of them, they look like albino Buffalo that can defy gravity.

We were a couple hours late for our pick-up, due to packs over 140lbs, but that didn’t bother Ken at all. Instead he had a Lord of the Rings quote ready to go, and some chicken wings and drinks in the cab of his bow-picker. Back in Cordova, Ken was just as helpful as before the hunt.

I recently had the incredible opportunity to go on a moose hunt in the Cordova area and used Serenity Adventure Charters as our transport. It was nothing short of outstanding. Had a great time with Ken and Stephan. This was our first boat hunt and my group had a great time. The accommodations on the boat were very comfortable and nice. Ken is very knowledgeable about the area and tried his best to get us on black bear, deer, fish, sea ducks etc. There seemed to always be something to do between fishing and hunting so there was never a dull moment. Shout out to Stephan the food was fantastic and the camaraderie and jokes were so easy. Also Big bonus points in my book for being able to shoot your rifle to double check the airport didn’t bump your scope before going out to sea, that was super helpful! This hunt definitely isn’t for the weak but these two sure made it pretty dang comfortable.

Captain Ken and his first mate Stephan run a top notch live aboard hunting service for this area of SE Alaska. Boat was large, very comfortable, and top notch. Lots of enclosed deck storage for all our gear and to process our deer.

Ken has the experience and background to run his top of the line mother ship boat and bow picker boat to get you where you need to go to have the best chance at finding deer and killing ducks. He knows the area extremely well.

Stephan cooked great meals and packed us good lunches for our daily hike in hunts for deer. He was on top of all things and taking care of our needs at all times. Hard working, always happy and a pleasure to be with.

Me and my buddies went out with Ken and Steve after some black bears. The knowledge and equipment Ken has to get you exactly where you want to be in a safe manner was more than I ever could have expected in the Alaskan weather. We all got the Alaskan adventure we where going for but the ability to dry our gear in the boat, and the great meals Steve made each day made it a lot easier to recover and go back out the next day. Can’t wait to get back out there on the Serenity with Ken and Steve!

Very professional, safe, and personable crew! I have used this service multiple times and each time it gets better and better. The live aboard is the way to go! Being able to get away from the cabins to areas that get little pressure and being extremely mobile increases your odds at bringing home a pile of delisious blacktail meat!
