We were supposed to stay for one night in the Polar Cabin on June 28th on our drive up to Prudhoe Bay on Dalton Highway. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the reservation on the same day due to a wildfire that forced the road to be closed. That was a bummer, however, the interaction I had with Heidi was really comforting in the sense that she understood the situation. Over the few chats I had with her, whether by phone or email, it felt as if I was speaking to a friend. That human "touch" is very important when you are planning to be between strangers in unfamiliar places. It "screams" Good Business!! She provided us with useful information and helpful tips on how to prepare for the stay (food related, given the fact that the place is so remote). And even though we could not make it in the end, I cannot but believe that if we did, it would have been a wonderful experience. I will definitely stay there if/when I plan this trip again, and I would definitely recommend Boreal Lodge to anyone who dare to venture north in Alaska.

Had an amazing stay at Boreal Lodging! The cabin was cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect—surrounded by beautiful nature, but still close enough to Coldfoot for gas and supplies. The staff was super friendly and gave great tips If you’re looking for a quiet, comfortable place to stay in Wiseman, this is it. Can’t wait to come back!

Great cabin! Beautiful craftsmanship and comfortable bed. Stayed here twice and appreciated the amenities. Heidi was very responsive and easy to chat with. Arriving late from Fairbanks, I was tired, but was able to locate the property easily.

I was the biggest pain in the neck customer, I kept scheduling and rescheduling, calling the date off due to various things, like my motorcycle being totaled. Heidi was so patient and never uttered a word, just kept rescheduling the date. I can understand why her and her husband's place is so highly rated. We dont get customer service like this on the East Coast. These are salt of the earth people, very hard to find in this world.||I kept apologizing and Heidi just gave me a new date, wouldn't even listen to me when I said take deposit I'll reschedule and pay again, she didn't even listen. I have a feeling Heidi's has said, more than a few hundred times "I'm not even going argue with you", LOL. Please stay here and patronize this fine establishment

! We stayed in the Bear cabin and it was perfect! Clean, comfortable and safe. It is surrounded by woods so it’s very quiet and relaxing and a great place to unplug, although they do have Wi-Fi. It is the perfect spot to spend the night if you’re driving the Dalton highway to/from Prudhoe Bay. Heidi is a wonderful host who is kind, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Boreal Lodging!

Rooms were very cozy, shower and bathroom very clean and private. There’s a shared kitchen space with a fridge, stove and some other cooking essentials. Heidi was a great host and waited up for our arrival at about 2am- furthermore she let us check out later than we originally expected.
Would highly recommended and definitely stay again

I have stayed in a room at the Boreal Lodge in July 2022, as I was coming back from Prudhoe Bay, on my solo motorbike trip. It was a delightful accommodation, simple but very clean, with nice showers and bathrooms.
Heidi was very helpful and a thoughtful host.
Overall, it was an excellent stay in the middle of the Alaskan wilderness.

The town of Wiseman is quite interesting to check out - a short walk will uncover a slice of pioneer history and signs of past and present civilization.

We stayed at the Boreal lodge for two nights in July 2020 on our family vacation. The town of Wiseman itself was really neat, unique, and fun to explore. Our cabin was very comfortable, well kept, and it had everything that we needed. The owners Heidi and Scott were very nice. They were there if we needed anything and provided a lot of information about the surrounding area. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone.
