This place neglects and mistreats there patients. Smells like urine and feces. Had our lived one on bear mattress no sheets, did not move him or get him up, had to call 2 or 3 days in order to have him dressed and in a chair when visiting him. One time was told we have no adult diapers so he was naked under his sheet. Was supposed to feed him. Left the food and had to eat with only one good arm but had that good arm up against the wall so he was unable to grab anything, did not change his pee bag, lost his hearing aids 2 times ... I can go on and on.i would give them negative stats if it where an option. Please don't send your love ones hear. Consider other options, take your loved ones here out to somewhere else.

EHG, my mom also was at Bridgeview with dementia just a few months ago, and I had to remove her within her two months stay. The place, care, and staff was nothing like you've experienced with your love one. Sadly, mom was bruised the first week there. No one would take responsibility for it. She was given meds without cause, keeping her drugged up, and she caught Covid. She was fed minimum, and most nurses had attitudes. I saw care that was appalling, not professional! Only a handful of the staff was caring. I worried about mom's care every day. Didn't feel assurance leaving her there. On her last day, I found her unbathed with a dirty diaper, and I cried. Her roommate was also dirty begging to be changed. It broke my heart to see her in that condition. Her room was dirty, the garbage was full, and the room smelled awful. When I tried to get someone to respond, the nurses tried to ignore the situation. So, no, this place wasn't a good place for my love one, and sadly, I give it a zero!

What started off as a good experience went down hill quickly. Beware of this facility. They lie and do not take good care of your loved ones. Avoid at all costs.

Met with the staff and loved the new renovated facility. Everyone was very kind and patient with us when we decided that our grandmother needed some assistance. We are very happy that she will be in good hands. They answered all our questions and made us feel like she would be treated like a family member. Highly recommend!

This place is nasty 🤮 and dirty. Please don’t send your loved ones here. This place gets funding from the state as well as private pay. I visited my mom on a Saturday in June. The CNA’S were in the hall cutting up blankets to clean residents with because they were low on laundry. I don’t understand how this facility doesn’t have money. These residents are not staying here for free, they are paying rent. This place should be shut down. CNA’s are over worked and underpaid. Also, there is one mean resident in 219, won’t say any names to avoid HIPPA. When I visit my loved one this lady is always cursing at the aids. To my understanding, she puts everyone out her room, she doesn’t like any AIDES. The facility doesn’t care about the residents or staff. While visiting with my dad I seen the nurses wait 45 minutes to have an aide take a guy to the bathroom. The guy was a little mobile which means he can help himself with assistance. Most of the cnas were busy working or on break. The nurse was lazy and they never help, which tells me why they are always short and cnas quit. This place is filthy. If you take your loved one here make sure you visit daily or their health will decline. Cnas are in and out check and change that’s it’s. No quality time with your family member which will make them feel alone and lonely. This is alll truth please listen to my words

My sister spent a very long time as a resident at Bridgeview Health Care Center. Years and years as her dementia advanced. Early on, when she was aware of what her symptoms signified and what the path ahead would bring, she was understandably frightened and angry. She lashed out verbally and sometimes even physically at her nurses, yet they remained calm, understanding, patient, and professional. As her disease progressed and her ability to self-manage even the most basic tasks declined, she was enormously fortunate to be in the hands of caring nurses who tended to her needs with kindness and compassion.

Whenever my husband and I visited, we always found her to be clean and in good condition. You hear such terrible stories of elderly people being neglected or abused, especially those who have lost the ability to speak for themselves, so to know that she was being cared for by people who were kind, decent, and responsible gave me great peace of mind. Additionally, staff at BHC consistently kept me informed about her condition, offered solutions to her challenges as they arose, and patiently answered all of my (many) questions.

My sister began hospice care in May. The hospice workers kept in close contact with me, calling each time they were there to keep me updated. In addition to monitoring her vitals and providing comfort care (They even played soft Christmas music for her—in May, June, and July!—because my sister especially loved those songs. Wonderfully thoughtful care by Sanctuary Hospice.), they too kept an eye out to assure that my sister was clean, in clean bedding, and was being properly tended and monitored. After every single visit, they reported that the staff at BHC was doing a great job. One member of the hospice staff reported that they’d waited for a few minutes outside of my sister’s room before entering since a BHC employee was in with her and she wanted to give that nurse space to complete their tasks uninterrupted. The door was open, so although the hospice worker wasn’t purposefully eavesdropping, the nurse’s words were still heard. That nurse was talking to my sister, I was told, in such a gentle, kind, and loving way that my sister might have been
the nurse's own grandmother.

My sister passed earlier this week. Her passing has flooded me with so many memories of all my years with her and so much to be grateful for. One of those things is knowing that from her early, difficult years at BHC all the way through her last, thankfully peaceful days, she was blessed to be cared for by people who genuinely cared. When I think about those people—too many to mention here by name (and I’m sure I’d overlook some, were I to try and name them all), I am so thankful. In an industry where pretty much everyone is underpaid, underappreciated, and overworked, my experience (and more importantly, my sister’s experience) with BHC has been a very good one. Bless everyone there who provided my sister loving, compassionate care.
