The Gage is Chicago downtown pound for pound champion. Excellent everything. At once, upscale and unpretentious and delish. And although pricey, not more so than most other places downtown where the did is not nearly delish

This was a first bar and restaurant dining experience in the Chicago Loop. It most certainly did not disappoint with a friendly staff and amazing service from the bar to servers everything was fantastic. The poutine is absolutely something to try. All the drinks prepared are masterfully done, in particular their Monte Carlo is second to none hands down a great cocktail.

We've been visiting here since it opened, it's been at the top of our list, but seems to have gone down some lately. Pandemic stress maybe? I wish this effort the best, but at this price I'd have other preferences.
