From the moment I walked in, I immediately felt welcomed. The warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable dining experience. The staff went above and beyond — they were incredibly attentive, courteous, and genuinely kind, making sure I felt comfortable and well taken care of.

It was my first time trying Afghan cuisine, and I decided to trust the staff’s recommendations — a decision I’m so glad I made. I had a beautifully presented variety dish featuring chicken prepared in three distinct styles, and each one was absolutely delicious, offering a unique blend of flavors and spices.

Before the main course, they brought out an appetizer platter that was just as impressive. It included a fresh, crisp salad, a flavorful tomato sauce, and some of the best hummus I’ve ever tasted — every bite was a delight. When I mentioned that I enjoy spicy food, the cook overheard and went out of their way to prepare a special side of roasted onions with peppers just for me. That personal touch really stood out and made the experience even more special.

From the incredible food to the exceptional service, everything was truly out of this world. I left feeling both satisfied and excited to return. This restaurant has definitely earned a repeat visit!

When I tell you this food is so fire, you need to already be on your way. Kabul Kabob is a wonderful establishment. Very friend atmosphere, family ran, and simply delicious food. I went one time and made it the high light of my week to go a second time. This is a must have if you are in the area.

We over-order and shared every single delicious dish - it was a feast.
Probably some of the best Baba Ghanoush, very creamy hummus, and the tasty Kabuli Pulao / Qabeli palaw was excellent, super tender lamb shanks with marrow, delicious.

Family-friendly and service was exceptional.

The food here is AMAZING. The owners are so attentive and kind and the food never disappoints. They recommended the Chapli kabob and WOW. These spicy beef patties with the afghan rice are so incredibly delicious. Their portions are generous and their prices are worth it. My order was for takeout and it came with a salad, hummus, bread , and two different sauces. There was more than enough food. This is my go to place here in the south suburbs of Chicago. I haven’t tried everything on the menu but I can’t imagine anything being less than excellent. You can tell when a restaurant takes pride in what they do and I think it’s clear that Kabul Kabob is one of those places.

we were homesick until we visited kabul kabob in chicago, the owners were so nice and friendly, the restaurant was so clean and cozy with family atmosphere, ..... the food was something I've never tasted like it before, a mixture of excellent flavors cooked to the perfection with awesome seasonig.

I recently dined at Kabul Kabob and was blown away by the incredible flavors and authentic Afghan cuisine. The kabobs were perfectly cooked – juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. The spices were just right, not too overwhelming, and the portions were generous. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. I highly recommend the lamb kabob and the naan – both were absolute standouts! The cozy atmosphere adds to the experience, making it the perfect spot for a casual dinner or special occasion. I stumbled across Kabul kabob one day and was pleased that i decided to dine there. I received a warm greeting from Miriam, who is the sweetest and was very patient with me being that it was my 1st time. I chose the combo of steak, lamb, and chicken. The flavor was phenomenal. Everything was fresh, the establishment was very clean, and I always stop by when im in the area. You won't be disappointed!

I’ve been to this shopping center countless times, but I only just tried this restaurant—and I seriously regret not going sooner!

The food is absolutely fantastic. I ordered the chicken curry, and wow—every bite was bursting with rich, flavorful spices. My partner got the kabobs, and they were just as incredible—perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection.

Beyond the amazing food, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the service is top-notch. The staff was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain the menu, making us feel truly welcome. We also tried a few appetizers, and they were just as impressive.
