Beautiful nature center with an interesting history. It used to be a dump, literally, until it was abandoned and eventually acquired by the city, which cleaned it up and turned it into a visitor center. You can see tons of different wildlife, walk the trails and spot great flora and mushrooms too. Lots of shade but bring a hat because there is lots of sun too. Parts of it get flooded or very muddy when it rains, and parking is plentiful. There is a gift shop and a small cafe. Restrooms are always clean. They have a classroom area where they have art or science classes on some weekends. Fun for the whole family, but no dogs allowed. Free entry but they recommend you reserve tickets online ahead of time due to limited entry.

Had a wonderful time in the visitors center and trails. As others have mentioned this site was on an illegal dump which was unfortunately a good example of environmental racism. After lots of litigation the land was handed over to the Audubon society and is no longer a blight to the area. I really like the pollinator garden area, I believe the monarchs are on their way south and there were lots of them.

Oh, City of Dallas, I'm so proud of you. This area of town was once.... a dump. But now it is stunningly gorgeous. Wood pathways to walk in and out of the native trees, flora and fauna. Such a peaceful, tranquil place. Includes small museum and gift shop. Staff at the front desk are well informed and friendly. This is a fabulous place.

My family and I enjoyed our time at Trinity River Audubon Center. It’s a peaceful escape from the busyness of Dallas. We enjoyed being surrounded by nature and using the walking trails.

This place is free of charge for admission until June 30th and is worth a visit. It can be quick or slower trails to walk on depending on your walking pace. The building is surrounded by nature; it’s worth a visit if you’re out there.

We did a nature walk today and learned about bugs! It was really fun and the center is beautiful and informative. We did a short walk around a kind but have explored the area before. Will definitely be back ❤️

It's a beautiful place (though a little unkept in certain areas). The employees are kind and very helpful. Would highly recommend visiting, especially when they have events!

Friendly staff, well marked, quiet trails, flowers, birds, snakes, and turtles. That’s what we saw! Super beautiful and relaxing. Bathrooms inside and out. They close early so check hours before you head out.
