We went to see the TDG Festival of Lights on Saturday evening, it was quiet making this very intimate experience. We were expecting crowds, still the organization was great. The lights and overall setup were really good, we were lucky with the weather as it was nice and warm already on Feb 1st. Would definitely recommend!

Took our 5 and 3 year old grandkids and could have stayed all day! I knew there was a butterfly garden, which is why we bought the tickets but didn’t realize there was so much more to offer! The outside garden area was also gorgeous, beautiful well maintained walking trails, shaded playground and sandpit for the kids to play. The reptile shack house with turtles and other critters and the train exhibit at the end was a nice surprise.
The worker inside the butterfly exhibit was so sweet and loved showing my grandkids how the butterflies lay their eggs, what they eat, showed them the honeybees…she was so informative. Enjoyed an ice cream treat before we left and the gift shop was adorable.
We went at the perfect time it was not crowded and will definitely be back!

This garden is fantastic. Some of the staff members are very friendly and the gift shop is decently priced. There is plenty of open space for a nice picnic and an outdoor playground. ( the playground needs some tlc). Overall, it was a great experience.

We came last year. When the fair was open. We enjoy it . They also had decorated for Christmas! It was fun ! I recommend it !

Beautiful garden. Well manicured center lawn with fountain was delightful. Butterfly garden/house is a must see. Butterflies flying around the garden. If you are lucky enough one may land on you. Miniature train depot was fun to see. Check dates to see the trains rolling on the tracks. There are about 18 or more spots highlighted to see. Small pond with koi. I highly recommend visiting. Forgot to mention beautiful flowers.

We went with kids on July 4th. Some activities were planned for kids such as craft making, water play, bounce house and free ice creams. Kids liked to see the bugs. They loved the butterflies! The staff were helpful. It was hot inside the butterfly house, bcoz that's essential for the butterflies. We all loved the running Trains, it's like our childhood dream came true 😀😀 The whole place was nice & beautiful. There was a play area as well, with sand pit. Kids were happily playing in it.

We stopped here during a vacation so the education and relaxation were perfect for the day. We spent about 3 hours here including the gift shop.

We were in Texas visiting family, so we got a Pogo Pass to see some local attractions and get free admission. One of the places we went to was the Discovery Gardens. It was December, but it was so beautiful. There weren't any flowers, but the fall foliage was just as beautiful. We also had the best time in the Butterfly sanctuary. We also stayed and got to see the daily butterfly release. It was so cool to see them realize the little enclosure was open and they could fly. The man (I don't remember his name) was very knowledgeable about the butterflies and gave us a lot of interesting information about them. I definitely recommend this place - even in the winter. There's also a neat little gift shop and some small aquariums in the lobby you can look at.
