Nice area, and reasonable amenities at the resort. The villas are very small though clean. The bed was quite hard and the heat in the room had a difficult variable of either too hot or too cold. It needed to be monitored throughout the night because the heating control was not sensitive enough to heat the unit to a comfortable temperature. The wifi would not connect and the front desk staff was unable to help.The literature in the room needs to be updated as the information for wifi does not match what the front desk provides.

A great room, spacious, clean, bright with a small kitchenette. A small balcony. A comfortable bed and pillows. Free parking.

The cost - of course, not in season, the cost is too high. There is absolutely nothing to do in the hotel, apparently only to listen to the silence after the noisy city.

There is only one restaurant near the hotel within walking distance.

Lack of breakfast.

I supplement the review, referring to the boredom in the hotel, I put 2 stars, received a detailed response from the hotel and it turns out that there are a lot of activities in the hotel. And for the unprofessionalism of employees who say absolutely nothing when checking in, I put one star.

Inform your future guests more fully than me.

First thing was only 1 bolt holding toilet seat in place. Door jam to building front door edge was all brown and rusty looking. Not a good impression. There was black mold on shower baseboard edge and on ceiling in shower.. Had to ask for a can opener. Had to watch your face sitting on toilet, as if you moved forward your nose hit the doorknob..Shower head was not moveable, so had to push face against shower wall to rinse backside. Was hard to shower with water hitting the wall up high, couldnt adjust. Mattress was lumpy, Had to move to couch 2nd nite as neighbor in VC1 was coughing, hacking ALL nite long., Then the mattress caved in middle on couch and light was very bright coming thru miniblinds. The wand on blinds in LR was broke so couldnt adjust them, and neighbor on other side was slamming doors til 3 Am sliding door and front door. we were there 8 days. Went away 2 days so to get rest and take a decent shower. Won't be back.I left them a review on table

A wonderful weekend was enjoyed by all in this resort as many family and friends stayed here for a wedding in the area. We had two rooms for 7 of our immediate family. Another 9 stayed in 6 additional rooms. Amenities were so enjoyable from the games in the barn to the workout gym and pool at the large villa.

The staff was sweet but the "new TV system" in my room didn't work. After some time, they set me up with another room. The TV there worked but was useless with 95 useless channels and 5 channels of overpriced pay per view. If a Hotel can't offer you basic cable like CNN or a single movie channel, why even have a TV? Most everything around the place is closed during "off season" except for one overpriced restaurant down the street with mediocre food. I'll never stay there to relax again.

What a great place to stay. We stayed in a villa for 2 nights. Very comfortable and just what we needed. The front desk people were amazing at helping us maximize our time in Wofeboro. We rented bikes from the Nordic Skier on Main Street (great place, very helpful and friendly) and rode the Cotton Valley Rail Trail - fun idea! The Windrifter also has kayaks available so we spent an afternoon on the lake. We loved the indoor salt water swimming pool. The Windrifter is in a great location, near downtown, yet enough removed to be quiet and peaceful. Will definitely stay there again if ever in the area.

We had a speedy check-in and staff gave us some information about the area. We stayed in V23 and had a nice view of the golf course. The studio was roomy with a queen bed and small kitchen area and included a stove and full size frig. It would have been nice to have bedside night stands but with the way the room was configured it wouldn't work. The bathroom tub should be replaced and it is tight. ||The trolley is handy and stops at the resort. It's handy for getting around town since parking is limited and many areas have a 2 hour limit. There are some free parking lots with no time allowance. ||You're not far from Maine for a day trip and you can easily drive around the lake.

Positive: Very close proximity to downtown (less than a mile). Plenty of parking. Nice onsite laundry facilities. Complimentary paddle boats and kayaks. Negative: Website is a little misleading, as it shows a water view/marina location, which is another remote location in town.
