We had the most amazing day cycling along the eastern shore of Tahoe. We only needed the cruisers (although beware the steep hill back to the shop on a hot day is hard work! E-bikes would have made this bit much easier!).
The views are spectacular. We also stopped off halfway and hiked up to the monkey rock. Well worth it for the breathtaking views.
Vita Trail Bikes were brilliant and very helpful. Thank you.

Ride was absolutely gorgeous! The e bike made the hills a breeze. Plenty of stops along the way to hang out and relax! If you’re booking through Viator, don’t. I booked through Viator and the place had no confirmation of my reservation or payment. Luckily it wasn’t an issue and I was still able to ride for my allotted time. Also, if you book through the actual store and not Viator it’s $40 cheaper!
Overall I’d recommend this to everyone!

We had an amazing experience with Vista Trail Bikes in Lake Tahoe! The customer service was exceptional, and Peter was a huge help from start to finish. He made sure we were all set before the trip, and when we got a bit lost during our ride, he was just a phone call away—twice, actually! Lol. His guidance and friendly attitude really made the whole adventure more enjoyable. The bikes were in great condition, and the scenic ride was unforgettable. This little addition to our day trip made the experience a hundred times better and significantly memorable. I love the practicality of the bikes especially when I need that little push on a challenging path. We got to enjoy most of the beauty of Tahoe within a couple hours and allowed us to venture onto some paths that were foreign to us. Most importantly, the customer service was excellent. The associates were kind, informative and fast with getting us set on our trip. 100% do recommend everyone to add an electric bike onto their day trip in Tahoe, especially from here!

Did a short snowboarding trip to Heavenly and looked to see what other adventures we could do in Lake Tahoe.

My husband booked Vista Trail Bikes a day or two ahead and the process was easy.

We met Ted at the Vista Trail Bike shop to pick up our e-bikes. He was very informative and nice. We talked short stories and explained the route to us before we headed out.

We booked the self guided tour for three hours. Definitely recommend this as the scenery was spectacular. Due to the winter weather which is a slower season, we had the advantage of having an enjoyable tour with less crowd. Everyone we walked passed was also friendly and even offered to take our pictures 🙂

It is a total of 10miles and it took us the three hours of all the photo ops we were trying to do, including the Monkey Rock hike. It is a trail ahead and the incline to see the Monkey Rock when you get to the top is a huge steep incline! Be sure to have some hiking shoes in to walk up and go back down as well so you don't slip and fall.

As we were leaving the hike, we contacted Ted to let him know we were on our way back to drop off the e-bikes. I also forgot to mention he let us use some gloves and ensure we had some warm clothing as it is cold.

Thank you Ted for a great experience! Very recommended if this is something you are able to do.

The bikes were awesome the employee that was there really new his stuff and explained hiw to use the bike well. We had a awesome time. If you have a chance i would definitely rent a bike and take in the site's.
