I’m gonna start by saying- I’ve lived in Alaska for over 8 years. My fiance has lived here 14+ years. For us both (individually and as a couple)- this was hands down the best fishing charter we have ever taken!!

Early spring Halibut fishing- Captain Buddy Scott took us out two days in a row. First day we had six Halibut in the boat in just a few hours; and no, they were not little fish. Fish ranged from 37-80lbs a piece! Second day was the same thing- (our biggest fish on the second day was smaller at 60lbs). Captain Buddy is super relaxed and makes sure each person feels confident every step of the way. He’s super friendly and easy to talk to! We had pretty rough seas the first day out and he kept the ride as smooth as possible with his skill and experience.

The boat itself was awesome. There’s a table with seating on either side for guests to sit around on the ride out. The boat was very clean and very comfortable. While the deck is on the small side we really never had an issue. Captain Buddy has the management of his boat down to a science, a very low- key, relaxed, enjoyable, science.

If you’re looking into going fishing in Valdez- look no further! I highly recommend Valdez Saltwater Adventures.

What an amazing day on the arctic warrior! Buddy was our captain; he obviously knew the right spots to catch the big halibuts!!! I got a 129lb halibut and won second place in the week #2 Valdez derby!!! The boyfriend got a 100lbs (99.8 ?) halibut!! Once everyone on the boat limited out, we were able to spend the afternoon catching a few rockfish. On the way back we were lucky enough to spot a few different whales. Buddy was knowledgeable about different mountains, little villages and had a good eye to spot whales. Can’t wait to do it again!!

The best Charter by far!! Thanks captain Buddy, you made it an awesome experience. Captain Buddy worked hard to put us on the fish as well as see other marine life. We saw Dolphins, puffins, otters, golden eagles, bald eagles, sea lions. We caught halibut and sea bass. I will definitely go with this charter again, and hopefully have Buddy as our captain again. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Captain Rob on the Patriot took us on an epic trip. Took extra time at the end of the day to sleigh some pacific cod as a bonus catch on the run in. My first time halibut fishing and jig fishing for cod. Had a blast. Didn’t want it to end!

If you want to be on a boat that is dedicated to catching great Fish this is the one for you. Don’t worry if you’re not an expert at fishing Captain Will and Cory give all the help needed for all levels of fisherman. I couldn’t give them any higher rating!

Captain Rob was AWESOME!! He is very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great time visiting with him on the way out to and back from the fishing areas. Once there, he made sure everyone understood how to use the gear and checked on the frequently. He was there with you the minute you got a fish on your line and was there to help if you needed him. I would HIGHLY recommend going fishing with Valdez Saltwater Adventures.

My entire group had an amazing time with Will on the Bold Eagle with the Valdez Saltwater Adventures! We could have limited out on Halibut in just a few hours and had a great adventure doing so!

Will was so thoughtful and made sure everyone on the boat was having a good time. He was also very informative and you could tell he has a real passion for what he does!

We can’t wait to book another trip with him next year!
