This is an older but well maintained motel. It's located right on Lake Superior, next to a marina and a restaurant. The room was clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We stayed in a double queen. The furniture was old, because the hotel is a bit older. Staff were friendly. We'd stay there again if in the area.

Very nice people. They Were accommodating for us and our 3 dogs. Struck up good conversation in the morning. If they didn't let the dogs stay it would have been another cold night camping.

Nice location by the water. Rooms are large and spacious. Everything worked. Disappointed there is only a refrigerator in the room, no microwave. The ONLY and very small microwave available to guests is located in the lobby. I was on first floor. Ceiling is VERY creaky and squeaky every time guest in room above moved. There is no breakfast and very limited options available in town. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Stayed for two nights. Check in required a lot of signatures and initials for all the rules. There were 2 luggage carts available. No housekeeping service if you stay multiple night. You can get extra towels from the front desk if needed.

Nice location on the edge of the lake with relaxing chairs by the lakeside marina. There's only one restaurant for dinner if you arrive in the evening; everything else in town is closed. Nearby Ashland has more food availability if you pass through in the way.
