All the staff we had were so very nice and I love that they were more on the alternative side, it's a very welcoming group of people! All friendly and professional!
As for the food, the pork belly appetizer and deserts were lovely! The buttermilk potatos, delicious! The scalloped potatoes, I think they used aged cheese, I really disliked them. The steak, honestly just tasted like steak with some flavors to dip it in to cover up the taste. I would go again for the drinks! (Bramble and Pink Squirrel) In total with two drinks each, an appetizer, 2 steaks, and two desert was about $250 with tax, but before tip. We were celebrating our 5 year and decided to go all out. Thank you to the kind staff for helping us celebrate!

This was our second experience here for dinner and it was just as great and consistent as the first. First time around it was just my husband and I dining for my birthday and this time, it was a party of 6. We received the same level of care both times; Jeanie, Chloe, Justin and Max did a phenomenal job. Along with the staff upon check in for our reservation and at the bar for our pre- dinner cocktails. Everyone is very personable and offered exceptional service. This time my husband and I had to try the Beef Wellington, which is highly rated and we loved it! I can’t think of a better place for a relaxed nice meal in the Lake Country area. While we go for special occasions, it makes me want to come back more frequently. The atmosphere is sophisticated and updated yet relaxed and timeless. Just not something you get everywhere anymore, and it should not go unnoticed. 10/10!

We went here for our anniversary. The service was immaculate. We ordered the shrimp cocktail and Waldorf salad which was delicious. I got the Steak Oscar and my husband ordered the Waygu. Both were 4/5's for us. This is a perfect spot for a romantic evening or for a celebration.

The pinnacle of fine dining Wisconsin style. Took my wife for our anniversary for dinner and was met with welcome and congratulations from the start. Every staff member we encountered mentioned our anniversary. The dinner was outstanding, and the service was impeccable. It's definitely the most memorable dining experience so far this year. The highlight was finding our Son in Law's cheese from Hill Valley Dairy listed on the menu cheese plate.

We arrived early to enjoy a drink at the bar… the hosts were more than pleasant and the bartenders were equally as nice. We each had a drink and ordered our second before a hostess came to take us to our table. The restaurant and the views, stunning! What a fabulous job of renovating this restaurant.

We were greeted promptly by 1 of 3 servers, all very pleasant. We ordered shrimp cocktail and decided to share a Caesar salad. The shrimp and the salad were delicious.
For dinner we decided by recommendation of one server, the Wellington. EXCELLENT choice, it was absolutely delicious, the black truffle sauce is to die for!

Our service was fine, not fabulous and not awful but left a little to be desired. We will give grace since this restaurant just recently opened, hopefully it will improve.
Can’t wait to come back!

We recently celebrated our anniversary at the Commodore, and I am so glad we did! From the water service, to the food, to the overall atmosphere, it’s more than just going out to eat - it’s an experience. The first time we came here, we had drinks at the outdoor bar and got to enjoy the views both inside and outside. This second time we came when the sun had already set, and it was still a beautiful time - the presented us with our beef Wellington before slicing into it. The beef Wellington does take 45 minutes - so we ordered two appetizers, and it was spaced out perfectly. The beef Wellington comes with a side of creamed spinach, and in the plate, a slice of some layered potatoes…this was my only complaint…compared to the quality of everything else we ate that night, it was just so out of place. But everything else was phenomenal.

Not a restaurant, an experience! So thrilled to have a Bartolotta owned restaurant in lake county. The food is incredible, the service impeccable. The remodel and decor is exquisite. And did I mention the food!? My sole complaint is I’d love more European options for wine by the glass. Otherwise everything about this place is perfect.

My family chose The Commodore to celebrate the 100th birthday of our grandmother in memoriam (as she passed 2 years prior). We had memories of coming here when it was The Seven Seas and decided she would have loved coming back with the renovations done by the The Bartolotta Restsurants. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere is the perfect balance of supper club and fine dining mixed with a nautical feel as it sits on a hill overlooking Nagiwicka lake. I strongly recommend being early enough to sit at the bar and take in amazing views during sunset!

When we told our server why we were there, she took a personal interest in getting to know more about our grandmother, and this meant a lot to us! The team of servers who were assigned to us really could not have done a better job of being attentive, helpful, and quick.

For starters, 3 of us had the Waldorf salad, and I elected the Georges Bank sea scallops. In addition, fresh, warm bread was served with butter. The salads got smiles all around. The sea scallops are served with a warm champagne butter sauce, chanterelle mushrooms, leeks, and caviar. While they were perfectly cooked, it was the combination of the sauce and extras that made this an instant favorite! If you're a fan of scallops, this is a must-try!

For dinner, the four of us decided to have the Beef Wellington. Wow! The pictures don't do justice to just how amazing these were. I have had filet mignon, but this was another level. The craftsmanship and care that went into the making of these can not be ignored. From the duxelle mushrooms to the lattice on the surrounding puff pastry and the perfect cook of the filet mignon at the center. Each bite of this amazing combination only encourages another. I honestly haven't had a more perfectly cooked steak. There were NO boxes to take home leftovers at our table. That's how good it was. They included a side of scalloped potatoes and creamed spinach. The spinach was topped with bread crumbs and cooked just enough to ensure the spinach stayed in this perfect cocoon of temperature & and texture preservation. The scalloped potatoes seemed out of place for this dish. It was an interesting idea as they are served like a slice of pizza, which provided an unfamiliar texture that didn't sit right. A fine replacement would be roasted carrots, brussel sprouts, or possibly whipped potatoes. In addition, we also had the Brussel sprouts, which were cooked with panchetta...nuff said: delicious!

For dessert, we had grasshopper drinks, a pineapple upside down cake, and coffee pudding. The pudding was comped to us as birthday dessert in honor of our grandmother ❤️! The pudding had an amazing espresso coffee taste with the texture of a mousse along with a pistachio cream! The pineapple upside down cake came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream that made me wonder if they made it in-house.. delicious!

While this was a bit pricey, given everything we experienced, it was worth it. It has made it into our rotation of upscale restaurants and can not wait to be back. It surpassed our expectations, going well beyond them to carry forward the charm of the former Seven Seas. We hope The Commodore is around to stay for generations!
